Spacious Garden Duplex accommodates up to 11 adults 10 + 1 (+1 adult sleeps on extra bed in the lower level bedroom). It is perfect for large families, two small families or a group of friends.
A large two-level (130 m2) open plan apartment on the lower two floors of the building offers four sleeping areas, two full bathrooms, balcony and patio and an attractive living/dining room, providing chic, modern accommodation for up to eleven people in a perfect location from which to explore the Old City.
The duplex is located in the heart of the Old City in a quiet residential neighborhood, a short walk from the Hippodrome, Sultanahmet Square (500 meters from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern), and the famed Covered Bazaar. It is 18kms from Ataturk Airport and airport transfers can be arranged upon request.
The balcony and patio face an inner courtyard garden and offers pleasant outdoor spaces to relax.
This two-floor apartment can accommodate up to 11 people with an extra bed.
Entrance to the duplex which is the upper floor, opens to a sleeping area with a queen size bed (150 x 200cm) + 1 single real bed (90 x 200cm). This floor has also a kitchen, bathroom and living/dining area with a 140x200 cm double sofa-bed facing the courtyard garden.
On the lower floor, which is accessed by an internal stairway, there is a low-ceiling children's sleeping area with 1 real double bed (140 x 200cm) and 1 real single bed (90 x 200cm - this area does not have any windows), a hallway, bathroom and a double bedroom with a queen size bed (150 x 200cm) opening to the garden.
The sleeping areas are open but separated with curtains and a curtain plus a glass partition at the lower floor bedroom entrance. This duplex works best for families or groups who do not require a lot of privacy.
The full kitchen has a dishwasher, 4 gas burners, microwave, full size refrigerator and washing machine. The bathroom has a glass-enclosed tub/shower and is stocked with traditional white Turkish towels and toiletries. The bathroom on the lower floor features a whirlpool (jacuzzi) bathtub inviting long soaks. The tub also has a shower hookup.
Stylish contemporary decor highlighted with bright Turkish rugs and throw pillows, air conditioning units in both the living room and bedroom, a wall-mounted LCD television with cable reception, wireless internet, laptop desk, MP3-CD player and cordless phone make this flat a great choice for a large family or groups.
Linens, towels and pillows are provided.
Cleaning service can be arranged with a surcharge for short stays. For longer stays of more than a week cleaning and linen changes will be arranged once in a week.
Wireless internet is free. Cable TV, air- conditioning and natural gas heating are included.
The building does not have an elevator.
Luggage storage is available.
Complimentary first day breakfast materials will be offered. There are various restaurants and coffee shops around the area. We will provide you with a recommendations handbook and necessary phone numbers in case you may need assistance during your stay.
All units at Aslan Apartments are entire apartment. There is no public area to share with other guests.

Either I or one of our greeting associate will meet you for key exchange. You will find a comprehensive information book with a list of tips and things to do in the city which include a list of restaurants, coffee shops, parks, stores, museums, galleries, Turkish baths and more...
Aslan Apartments is located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to Hippodrome / Sultanahmet Square. It is close to major sights in Istanbul Old City Center plus you will have opportunity to meet and observe the daily lives of locals.
Both Cemberlitas and Sultanahmet tram stops are within walking distance they are 300 meters and 500 meters away from Aslan Apartments respectively.

We cannot accept more people than the maximum occupancy with the exception of children under two years old who will sleep in a crib or with an adult.

’IstanbulKart’ is now available upon request! We started to offer IstanbulKart (formerly named as Akbil) at cost. It offers a very convenient and cheap way to travel around Istanbul by tram, bus and subway. The card itself costs TRY 6 and we load it with TRY 14 so the total becomes TRY 20. Please let us know if you need these cards and how many so that we will make them ready for you when you arrive.
We do not require deposits but we would like our apartments to be in good shape after our guests leave as to expect them to keep the property in good order and leave the apartment in the same condition as when they arrived. All guests are required to give their credit card details as a security deposit in the event of any damaged or missing items.
We would like our Guests to inform us in advance your arrival details and encourage you to order the airport service as it makes your arrival to the apartment much smoother unless you know Istanbul well or have stayed with us previously and know how to get to the building. If you prefer to come on your own we will provide you with directions in Turkish (for the taxi driver) and a map showing the directions to our address. We will appreciate if you can bring a photocopy of each guest’s passport on your arrival who will be staying in the apartment as we need to keep for security reasons on behalf of local authorities.
CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT:
Check-in hours are between 2 pm(14:00) to 11 pm(23:00) and check-out hours is 9 am(09:00) to 11 am(11:00). For a late check in after 23:00 a surcharge of EUR 30 will apply.
We do our utmost to accommodate the individual needs of our guests and we honor early check-in and late check-out unless there is no check-in/check-out after or before your check-in/check-out time.
2 sets of keys will be provided. Lost key set will be charged at USD11 (EUR 8).
We have a moderate Cancellation Policy. 50% refund up until 1 week prior to arrival, except fees. Please note that no refunds whatsoever will be given for cancellations made in response to circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters or political events. Guests who depart before the scheduled date are charged the tariff for the entire rental period.
CHARACTER OF THE PROPERTIES
Guests are advised to read the website/house rules carefully with particular attention to the character and nature of the properties and the area. The building does not have an elevator and the apartments are not recommended for individuals who have difficulty walking or climbing stairs or for those who expect daily housekeeping and other hotel services unless you require one of our daily cleaning or tidy up services.
People other than the paid guests may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of guest. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
The apartments are placed in a quiet residential neighborhood and we expect our guests to respect our friendly neighbors.
Smoking is allowed on most of the apartments but we highly recommend smoking outside at the balconies or garden. We will be using ozone generator to clean up the apartment to get rid of any unwanted odors and bacteria.
Please note we do not have an electric generator nor massive water tanks in the building and occasionally power / water outages may occur. By accepting this reservation, guests agree to not to claim any reimbursements due to power / water outages during their stay in our properties.
To the rear, the building faces an inner courtyard with trees, alive with birds -- lots of birds!
Unfortunately pets are not allowed in properties.
Children are welcomed except for the Penthouse Suite. Please pay special attention to the stairs connecting the two apartments of The Spacious Balcony Duplex as some stairs are very narrow.
Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.
Nous avons séjourner à Aslan appartement 5 nuits. Nous étions 10 adultes et 1 enfant. L'appartement est très spacieux, propre. Il est idéalement située à côté de la mosquée bleu, de sainte Sophie, du grand bazar...

The apartment is better than in photos - clean, spacious, well equippted, has everything what you need during your stay. Host was very helpfull and nice - met us in the street, helped with all our needs, mailed my post, send people directly to help us, when we locked safe, treated us with deliciuos wine. The place is near supermarket (normal one), close there's the place that sells beer and wine, on the corner is small amazing butcher. All the experience was amazing.
Avant tout, nous tenons à remercier GULNUR la précision de la description de son appartement, la sincérité de ses réponses et la qualité de notre relation avant le départ et pendant le séjour. Elle a su lever toutes nos craintes quant à la sécurité du quartier et l’environnement général de l’appartement.
L’appartement est situé dans une résidence de 4 étages, tous « à louer ». Sur le site de AZLAN Appartement vous verrez la configuration de ces derniers. Nous aurions bien aimé être au dernier étage mais cela n’était pas possible compte tenu de la configuration de notre groupe : 8 personnes. Nous avons donc opté pour l’appartement en rez de chaussé et en rez de jardin. Certains pourraient dire « au sous sol » ce qui est vrai en partie. La résidence est située sur une pente. De ce fait, 3 chambres sont en bas de l’immeuble.
L’appartement est parfaitement décrit dans l’annonce et sur le site donc rien à ajouter, si ce n’est que la description est TRES réaliste. Vous franchissez 5 marches et vous entrez dans le couloir de l’immeuble. De là, vous empruntez un escalier, vous descendez15 marches et vous êtes devant la porte Vous entrez et vous êtes dans la première chambre où 3 personnes peuvent dormis (2 + 1). Un couloir dessert la salle de bain puis la cuisine et enfin le salon / salle à manger où 2 personnes peuvent également dormir.
En revenant vers la porte d’entrée, à gauche de cette dernière, un escalier vous mène au rez de jardin / sous sol ou vous trouvez une 2nde chambre où 3 personnes peuvent dormir (2+1) un couloir dessert une seconde salle de bain et enfin, une très grande chambre avec accès à une petite terrasse, sûrement très agréable en été.
Donc, en tout, 10 personnes peuvent dormir, en fonction de la composition de votre famille. Largement suffisant pour nous 8. A noter, c’est un des rares appartements de cette taille à avoir 2 salles de bain (avec les toilettes à l’intérieur).
L’appartement est très propre, très fonctionnel, très calme. Bref : nous n’y avons vu que des avantages.
Dans les autres bonnes surprises, on doit noter un accueil charmant par une personne envoyée par Gülnur,un frigo dans lequel vous trouverez de quoi faire un petit déjeuner pour ne pas avoir à courir au SOK du coin de la rue (lait, jus de fruit, fromage,…)d, es fruits frais dans la corbeille,de la lessive dans la salle de bain pour faire fonctionner la machine à laver, des produits de soin corporels, un book plein de conseil et d’adresse pour : manger, boire, se restaurer, visiter, etc. Bref, aussi bien qu’à l’hôtel, la capacité de faire des repas en plus. Un must.
L’emplacement est absolument formidable : vous êtes à 4 minutes du Grand Bazard: 7 minutes montre en main de la mosquée bleue. Nous reviendrons à ISTANBUL, nous dormirons dans la même résidence. AUCUNE RAISON D'ALLER AILLEURS
We stayed 3 nights in the apartment and were very satisfied.
It is really spacious, everything worked well (heating, warm water, dishwasher).
Serdar (the greeting associate) was very nice and helpful, the transfer from the airport and back was on time and good prepared (thank you, Gulnur & Aslan!). He provided milk, juice, eggs, coffee, tea, bread, fruits and cookies for the 1st breakfast.
The apartment is perfect located: 2 min. to the tram station no. 1 (to Galata), 10 min. walk to Hagia Sofia, Hippodrome, Constantine Column, right in the center if Sultanahmet. And it is very quiet, which is a blessing after a busy sightseeing-day.
The internet was working perfect!
The beds were perfect, only in the lower room there was a sort of cellar-odour. The weather was too cold to air the room for a longer time. Nonetheless I slept perfect.
The check out was 11:00 and we could leave our luggage there to be free to enjoy the last day in the city.
Unfortunately it was pouring with rain in the afternoon and we asked Serdar to warm up a little 1 hour before the transfer to the airport, which was no problem. This was very nice and we want to thank him for that!
We recommend the apartment for people who like sightseeing and cozy evenings or nights.
Pretty good location, big apartment with many beds we were spoilt for choice. Although I didnt't manage to meet w the host themselves, they made sure we had a comfortable stay. Good for families or group of friends! Thanks Aslan n Gulnur ;)
Very well located appartment (walking distance from Sainte Sophie, blue mosquee, bazars, tramway station) in a safe neighbourhood. The appartment is big, quite calm, very very clean and well equipped. In addition, if the weather allows it, you can use the terrasse.
The hosts are charming and very helpfull. Arriving, you will find the first necessity products such as tea, coffee, milk, butter, fruits and even some delicious Turkish delights. The information book was very usefull too. I highly recommend this place.
Appartement très bien situé (près de Sainte Sophie, mosquée bleue, hypodrôme, grand bazar...et du tramway) dans un quartier sûr. Les photos sont un peu flatteuses mais l'appartement est grand, relativement calme, très très propre et bien équipé. De plus, si le temps le permet vous pouvez utiliser la terrasse.
Les hôtes sont charmants et très serviables. Vous avez tous les produits de première nécessité en arrivant (pain, beurre, lait, thé, café, fruits) et le petit bonus des loukoums excellents.
Je recommande cet endroit.

Life is running too fast and I feel like a mother bee busy with work, home, kids, lots of errands to do and our lively apartments.. As well as being a host for Aslan Apartments now we have a new apartment: 'Kismet' in the very Old City of Istanbul called Zeyrek which is under Unesco protection for the Byzantine ruins.
It is time to think about new year resolutions!.. I do yoga whenever I find some spare time for my body and soul! Towards the end of this year I went back in history to Patanjali and once more amazed how an ancient philosopher from 200BC can inspire us towards our journey to enlightment. As he explained Santosha (Contentment): let's cultivate contentment and tranquility by finding happiness with what you have and who you are. Seek happiness in the moment, take responsibility for where you are, and choose to grow from there.
