Stunning Loft in Cotswolds * * * *

Loft - Entire home/apt · High Street, Chalford, Gloucestershire GL6 8DS, United Kingdom

The Space

The Weaver's Loft is on the first floor of the East Wing in a very special Grade II listed, self-catering holiday let in the beautiful Cotswold village of Chalford. Just a short drive away is the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' Cirencester, Painswick, Cheltenham, Stroud, the antiques center of Tetbury, the World Heritage City of Bath, Bourton-on-the-Water and much more.

The recently refurbished accommodation is a fabulous loft-style apartment comprising a large open plan living/dining area complete with wood burner and under floor heating throughout. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen along with washer/dryer, 1 double with fabulous views of the valley and an ensuite shower and toilet and a bunk room and separate bathroom. An over-flow sofa bed is available in the living area for the 5th and 6th guests.

The Loft forms part of a large listed property, once occupied by the owner of one of the local mills. The Weaver's Loft is believed to be originally a 'factory' floor for the weaving of wool or silk from Sevilles' Mill.

There is also a 2nd property available sleeping up to 6 in 2 bedrooms. This will be listed on airbnb soon!

  • This is THE perfect place to stay. Anna made our stay easy and pleasurable. The loft is comfortable and enough for a family of four or six. There were 3 adults and two kids in our group and there was plenty of room.
You have easy access to the cotswolds, and if you are like us and escaping from London - this is an ideal location close enough to reach in a couple of hours.
There is everything you need in the apartment if you want to eat in - or easy to reach some good eateries.
We had a wonderful peaceful break. Will be returning with a bigger group this summer! as Anna has a cottage downstairs too so ideal for the bigger family or group.

  • We stayed at Anna's beautiful loft while working at the Cheltenham Gold Cup Races and we had an absolutely magical stay. Anna kept in contact with us before we got to the loft and was there on our arrival to welcome us and provide us with any information and advice we needed. Every evening Anna lit a wood burner in time for our return from work which was an absolute delight to come back to. We work away from home quite a lot and it can be difficult at times but staying at Anna's we felt like we were on holidays. The place had everything one can possibly need to feel like home, it was very comfortable and most importantly for us EXTREMELY quiet. We just wish we had more time to explore the area and all the beautiful things it has to offer.
Like some of the previous guests have mentioned, the drive up to the property is very narrow and parking is a bit tight but shouldn't be a problem for anyone who have passed the driving test.
Thank you, Anna, very much for the most comfortable, welcoming and warm (literally) stay. We shall highly recommend you to all our friends
and we wish you the best of luck in future.
    Kind regards,
    Alexandra, Edina and Andy.

  • We (group of 6) enjoyed a much needed 4 night get-away from the bright lights of London. The loft was very spacious, clean and provided everything to our needs. The fire kept us warm (once it gets going) during our relaxed nights in and the beds and duvets are also very comfy and warm. Chalford is a lovely part of the Cotswolds and great base to explore the rest of the surrounding areas (The Slaughters, Bourton-on-the-Water, Westonbirt Arboretum) with recommended walks near-by along the disused canal. The roads are very narrow on approach so drive with care; specially at night. Anna was away when we arrived but ensured there was a way for us to collect keys and let ourselves into the loft. I'd recommend the property to anyone and would consider returning again.

  • A great three days, lovely hospitality by Anna and her family. The duvets are sooo warm!
Just need to be good at reversing, the road can be tricky.
Look forward to telling other people to stay there.

  • We loved our stay in Anna's Cotswolds' Loft. The location was great for beautiful towns like Cirencester and for country pubs, coffee shops and stunning walks. The accommodation was really comfortable with everything our family needed. Thank you Anna!

  • A very clean and fresh flat. I wish my home was so fresh. The surrounding was breathtaking. We love the houses climbing up the hill. Took the car to Oxford and London. No problem finding parking, no problem with traffic.
What we miss was chairs to relax in the garden

  • After a long day we arrived at this beutiful cottage in the lovely village of Chalford. we were greeted by Anna and Chris and given a tour of the loft. it is very comfortable, cosy and clean, equiped with everything a family with kids needs to feel at home (including all electronics hifi, tv etc...). from the loft we were able to take nature walks without having to drive anywhere. Anna & Chris are lovely hosts who did everything to make us comfortable and assist in any way. Thank you!

  • Anna was the best host. We had a delayed arrival and she went out of her way to make us as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this lovely village and Anna's accomodations to anyone.

I live in Chalford (next to the holiday let we're advertising here), with my husband, dog and daughter. Not necessarily in that order, I just think Dog & Daughter would make a great name for a pub. We have two holiday lets in Chalford and have lived here ourselves for over 8 years, loving the countryside, walks, easy access London, Bath, Cheltenham, Birmingham etc... We're big on travelling ourselves and have recently returned from an 8 month stint around Southern Africa. New to Airbnb but it's come highly recommended, so we're giving it a go for advertising and also for seeking new places ourselves.
