A large Studio apartment with lots of charm, on the first floor of an historical building from the 16th century located in the historical centre of Castiglion Fiorentino, Tuscany. Just steps away from the town square, Piazza Del Municipio, many restaurants, bars and all things you expect to find in a typical Tuscan medieval town. Nestled within the stone walls that surround the town with a courtyard.
The 54sqm studio has a large open plan area with a queen size bed and bathroom at one end and a large lounge room with Television at the other.
There is a small well equipped kitchen in the entrance with eating area and washing machine. This studio has air conditioning and heating.
SELF CHECK-IN AVAILABLE
Everything you need is in the town making it an easy stay without a car, renting bikes to explore the hills nearby, catching a train to Florence or a bus to Siena.
There is paid parking just steps away and plenty of free parking just outside the walls, a 5 minute walk, if you do have a car
Castiglion Fiorentino is located between Cortona, famous for films such as "Under the Tuscan sun" and "Life is beautiful",and Arezzo, the city of gold.
Florence is 1 hr by train, and Rome 2 hr 30 mins by train.
Siena, Pienza, Chianti region and Perugia are all within an hour by car, Pisa 2.5 hours, Bologna and closest beach are under 2 hour drive away.
Clean bed linen and towels are provided.

Check-in times are flexible but we would appreciate arrival after 3pm. There is an option of a self check-in. Just ask us for the PIN code to the security box.
Please remember that this property is in a limited traffic historical centre, note the following times for entry into town.
From May 1st - September 30, 2015
-Monday to Friday from 4am-1.15pm, 2.15pm-4pm
-Saturdays from 4am-4pm
-Sundays closed all day

-To keep our rates to a minimum, please be mindful when using electricity, water and heating, it is very expensive in Italy. Overusage will be deducted from deposit.
WARNING: If you arrive by car on a Sunday, the town is closed all day to traffic and you will have to park outside the main walls in the free carpark (white car spot) which is a 5 minute walk away.

Once you arrive into Castiglion Fiorentino, see if the main archway is open (green light) that way you can go into the main square (Piazza del municipio) and park there to unload your things. It is metered parking from 8am until 8pm then free overnight. The main entrance closes at 9pm.
If the entrance is closed, you can park in the one of the many carparks outside the main walls. White car spots (with an X) are free unles thaey have a sign that states "1 ora", here you can only park for one hour and must use the dial in the car to show what time you arrive. Blue spots are metered but free from 8pm until 8am.

The apartment is 30 metres down the hill past the post office (piazza del municipio) please ask for the PIN for the key in the security box by the door.
Interaction with Guests
I am off site but available by phone. I am 10 minutes away should you need me for emergencies.
For security purposes, please make sure that the entrance door downstairs is always firmly closed. Please do not leave lights on unnecessarily.
