Please contact me via an inquiry before you make a reservation request. This is a chemical FRAGRANCE FREE home. I enjoy welcoming guests into my home, but if you wear chemically scented colognes, after shaves, hair sprays, body sprays, or perfumes, I can't. Most stuff with herbal fragrance from Whole Foods or health food stores is okay, but strong chemical fragrances are a non-starter here.
I am a professional wine tour driver, and if you like I can drive you around to local wineries for a very reasonable fee, please feel free to inquire.

The local bus service, NCTPA, or “Vine” , has a stop exactly one mile from my house. It connects to the Vallejo Ferry and San Francisco and the East Bay.

Steve is a great host. He was very accommodating with our check in time. The room is clean. Safe environment.
Steve was a very accommodating host with substantial knowledge of the Napa/Sonoma area. The room was comfortable for two of us, and we were granted lots of privacy. A good place to stay if you're passing through the area and looking for somewhere affordable and centrally located.
We came up here for the Bottlerock festival. All of the hotel options were running low and/or extremely expensive. We just needed a place to sleep! Steve was very accommodating and went beyond our expectations. The room itself was exactly as described and my friend and I enjoyed our stay. This was my first time using Airbnb and I am hooked!
Steve was an extremely gracious host. It was exactly as advertised. It was centrally located and easy to find. My boyfriend and I had been at a winery the entire day so we basically used the room to sleep for about 12 hours! Steve was very sweet and relaxed when we did speak with him. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to save several hundred on a room in Napa for the night.
Steve was very welcoming and the room was accurately described. He is also very accommodating and won't hesitate to help you should you need it. Just about everything you need is supplied and the neighborhood is relatively quiet and peaceful. Wouldn't hesitate to re-book.
Exactly as described. Clean, quiet, safe and Steve was extremely communicative and helpful. Highly recommended if you are looking for a simple, affordable and good value stay in a very pricey corner of the world.
I needed an affordable place to crash between long days at a conference, and Steve provided just that. He was a great communicator before and during my stay, was very accommodating of my late returns, and was a welcoming and gracious host in the mornings, offering a delicious cup of custom brewed coffee. The bed was perfectly comfortable, and the room was quiet and clean. The neighborhood also was safe and quiet. A very good value and just what I was looking for.

About the Host, Steve
This is my home, not a hotel. I really enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, and helping them enjoy this fantastic Napa-Sonoma area. I've lived around here for 40 years.
Since 2009, I am President and Creative Director at Caltext Creative, a publicity and brand enhancement firm located in Napa, California, USA. I am also President of StevesWood, purveyor of fine grilling and BBQ supplies. Also, I provide knowledgeable top-notch livery services to wine country visitors who want to tour the beautiful Napa-Sonoma-Lake-Mendocino wine country in a driving-safe-and-sober manner.
I am an experienced livery driver and I can happily manage all of your transportation needs for your Wine Country tasting tour. Reasonably priced, hassle-free transportation, combining the benefits of a local resident’s knowledge of the area (including fifteen years managing vineyards in Sonoma County) with a sense of humor and complete dependability.
If you want me to drive you and wait for you, my hourly rate is $30/hr with a three hour minimum. If you simply want a ride from point A to point B, it’s $2.50/mile. Recent references available, you need only ask.
Before the worldwide economic collapse, I worked as a consulting Registered Civil Engineer providing water quality compliance assistance to resource agencies, water and irrigation districts, municipalities, and other public and private organizations.
And before that, I was Farm Manager and Vineyard Operator at Oak Hill Vineyards in Healdsburg, Sonoma County. I was responsible for all agricultural operations, land development, chemical recommendations/applications, and grower/winery liaison. I delivered about 300 tons per year to some of the top wineries of the time.
