Once upon a time my husband and I lived in different cities and spent a fair amount of time travelling to see one another in various far-flung places. We loved nice restaurants, going to see live music, seeing new places and meeting new people. We still love those things actually, but we’re living a quieter life in Ottawa now that we’re parents of a four-year old girl.
I had the very good fortune of spending lots of time in New York and Paris where I was seconded for work. My husband grew up working in his family’s business – a B&B. We like to think that the combination of these experiences gives us a pretty good idea of what people want when they are travelling for work or pleasure. To sum it up in our opinion: a nice spacious bed for a good night sleep after a long day, a location close to the action so if you feel like going out, it’s easy to do, and lastly place that’s clean, cosy and quiet so if you prefer to stay in and watch TV, it’s comfortable.
