  • The apartment was wonderful. Clean and as advertised in photos. The owners were great and the neighbourhood was within walking distance to all the main attractions in the city.

The bed was very comfortable and large (king size I believe). The nights we decided to stay in, we were able to watch TV in HD. They also had complimentary tea and some food which was also an added bonus.

Lastly, we ended up breaking something in the house. The owners were very nice about it.

Thanks again for the great stay!

  • Always a pleasure to stay at Anne's place! I have kept this wonderful address secret up to now as I don't want my friends to steal it when we go back every year!

  • Anne's apartment was perfect - clean, spacious and well appointed. The King size bed was very comfortable! We stayed for a week and found the apartment's location was very central and a short walk to all the sights - the National Gallery and the Franklin Mint are two blocks away. Anne checked with us through our visit to see if we needed anything. Altogether a great experience!

  • Anne and Craig are wonderful hosts! My husband and I stayed at Anne's apartment for a month and had a lovely experience. Anne and is very hospitable, and once settled, she largely left us to our own devices and was unimposing. Anne is very communicative and answered my questions promptly and was on hand if ever we needed anything.

Staying at Anne's apartment while getting settled in Ottawa was a perfect combination of home and hotel! The listing is accurate. The apartment is exactly as described. A great mix of style and comfort. We walked to and from her place to the major attractions around the city, so location was perfect! At the same time, I loved feeling like a local, being able to shop and pick up food and other necessities to use at the apartment at several restaurant and store options in the area.

The bed is so comfortable - hard to get out of sometimes!!

If you are looking for a home-from-home - this is the place to stay. I would highly recommend it.

    Hope to see you soon.
    Take care and thank you,
    Carrie and Martin

  • Anne's apartment was lovely. Really spacious with a gorgeous king size bed, a good size living area along with dining room and kitchen.

We were only in town for a couple of days so didn't get a huge amount of use out of the place - we were mainly meeting friends and sightseeing so it was actually little more than a bedroom and bathroom for us - but it was really nice and comfortable.

The arrangements for picking up and dropping off the key were seamless, the facilities were immaculate and the location was great. It was really close to Byward Market as well as being walking distance to the art gallery and only about 25 minutes walk to the Museum of Civilisation on the Gatineau side of the bridge.

We really can't fault the apartment for value, quality or anything else.

  • This is a great apartment! I really liked the lay-out. It was very clean and it had lots of great conveniences; particularly for the kitchen and for entertainment. I was comfortable relaxing in the apartment and working there. Anne was very easy to communicate with and getting access to the apartment was simple and convenient. A great apartment I can easily recommend.

  • Excellent location, very clean, comfortable bed, and helpful hosts. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit Ottawa!

  • Prior to my stay at Anne's lovely apartment I had not used airbnb. It is safe to say that it was a very positive first experience and I will not hesitate to book her apartment when I'm next in Ottawa.

The location suited all my needs and the apartment itself was homely which made me feel very settled during my 5 week stay.

The apartment contained all that was required for cooking and cleaning. The cable tv was fantastic with plenty of channels. But the bed was a highlight for me. I'm fussy with pillows and usually find them too soft in hotels but those in the apartment were superb.

Any questions I had were quickly answered by Anne or her husband and I found both to be very charming hosts.

As mentioned previously, I will definitely stay there again should I return to Ottawa.

Once upon a time my husband and I lived in different cities and spent a fair amount of time travelling to see one another in various far-flung places. We loved nice restaurants, going to see live music, seeing new places and meeting new people. We still love those things actually, but we’re living a quieter life in Ottawa now that we’re parents of a four-year old girl. I had the very good fortune of spending lots of time in New York and Paris where I was seconded for work. My husband grew up working in his family’s business – a B&B. We like to think that the combination of these experiences gives us a pretty good idea of what people want when they are travelling for work or pleasure. To sum it up in our opinion: a nice spacious bed for a good night sleep after a long day, a location close to the action so if you feel like going out, it’s easy to do, and lastly place that’s clean, cosy and quiet so if you prefer to stay in and watch TV, it’s comfortable.
