The Space

This 650 sq. ft apartment is centrally located in the French Quarter, with all major French Quarter attractions, as well as the Marigny, CBD, and Treme within walking distance. The Super Dome and street car lines are are also in walking distance, as is the gorgeous Armstrong Park.

The apartment, located above a small restaurant (don't worry, you can't hear any noise!) has a private bedroom with plenty of space in the living room for an extra guest or two. It overlooks the meeting point of two historic French Quarter streets, and the beautiful second story balcony (email hidden) for morning coffee or evening people watching.

The apartment is fully furnished and equipped. Cable TV, internet, a full kitchen, and washer/dryer are provided, as well as all basic necessities: linens, towels, coffee etc.

I should mention that if you are looking for a place to party, somewhere to really let your hair down, there are lots of great places to do so in the neighborhood. However, this apartment is nestled among numerous other residences, so if you truly wanna live like a local, you'll have to keep the partying limited to the bars and streets, and be very respectful of the neighbors.

The apartment is well over a hundred years old, its age in combination with being above a restaurant lends the property a very unique, authentic charm, but it also has its quirks: the stairs leading up to the apartment are somewhat steep. There is a handrail and most people have no problem at all with them, but if you have an older or disabled person in your party, this may be something to consider. Also, you do have to pass through the restaurant courtyard to enter the apartment, and the front two room have no over head lights, only numerous lamps. These things aren't a problem at all for most people, and with all of that said, what the apartment lacks in modernity, it certainly makes up for in location and amenities. I just know that as a traveler myself, I find it very reassuring to have a clear idea of what I am getting for my money, and I assume other do as well. I'm happy to send additional photos or descriptions for anyone who may have further inquiries.

Though the apartment is not exactly "child proof,"a pack n play is available for families with a small child.

Feel free to message me with any quesitons you may have.

  • I cannot say enough good about Olivia's place or she and Brian as hosts. She had construction going on next door to this place, and I had a bad knee, therefore she offered us her place down the same block. Who does this to accommodate guests at last minute? OLIVIA!!! We were so grateful and Olivia emailed and texted to make sure our stay was comfortable & suiting. All bathroom & kitchen amenities are very generous. I know, because my family made coffee they brought with them, or went out for it. Not I, I had great French and woodsy roasted coffees each morning on the courtyard selected from Olivia's variety of Keurig's selection. Her artsy designed apt. captures the heart of New Orleans and it so inspired me as I have a French Creole Home. You should be an interior designer, Olivia. Very clean and furniture and space were extremely comfortable for four people, and rested well in comfortable beds. If you are there for food, "Eats" Restaurant (below apt.) has great food, especially the shrimp and white beans! DELISH! My hubby walked to Louis Armstrong Park each morning and enjoyed seeing all the animals along the lake. This was our first Airbnb stay and we will definitely be back! Thank you, Olivia & Brian. Wish you guys all the best life has to offer!!!

  • We had a great time at Olivia's place in New Orleans! She (email hidden) and very helpful in answering our texts with any questions. The location is perfect for walking to Bourbon and Frenchman without any of the noise you would expect from the crowds. Our favorite part was the big beautiful window opening to the balcony. The weather was nice enough that we were able to open it up and drink our coffee on the balcony and enjoying a beautiful morning breeze in the bedroom, and the smell of Nola that has a mixture of concrete, swamp, and crawfish boil. Call me crazy but I LOVE that smell!! Speaking of the coffee, Olivia is very gracious to provide a nice variety of coffee with a keurig so everyone gets the kind they want. The place is stocked with supplies (I forgot my hairspray but it was not problem because she had some!). If you want to feel like a local in the residential part of the city, choose this place. Thanks for everything! We will be back!

  • Couldn't have asked for a better spot to enjoy New Orleans. Central French Quarter location on a quiet street, just a block away from Bourbon St. The host was great, the accommodation was as advertised, I would absolutely stay here again!

  • This was just the PERFECT spot for our recent trip to NOLA! Olivia was excellent with communication throughout the process and the apartment was clean and cozy. We managed to do everything we wanted on our vacation without ever needing a car. The several tours we did were never more than 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Loved the whole thing!

  • This was my very first airbnb experience & the airbnb angels must have been watching over me because Olivia was the most fantastic, wonderfully accommodating, kind & gracious host EVER!!! Everything about the property was just as described & worked perfectly for our needs. In addition, Olivia went above & beyond in meeting our last minute requests & any off-the-wall needs we ran into. Awesome communication & provided everything we needed for a perfectly perfect New Orleans stay in the heart of the French Quarter! We will be back as soon as we can!! Thank you Olivia & Brian for EVERYTHING!

  • I would highly recommend this apartment for people traveling to New Orleans. The location was perfect, the apartment was even better than the pictures show and Olivia (email hidden)e location is in the heart of the French Quarter but far enough away from Bourbon St that you could keep the windows open at night without being bothered by noise. The bed and futon were super comfortable and having a washer and dryer in the apartment was SOOO nice and kept us feeling fresh all week. The rooms are big and the AC keeps everything cool which is great after being out in the sun all day. Everything you will need is there- towels, extra toiletries, kitchen stuff, basic cooking stuff like spices, salt, olive oil, ect. You really can just come with your clothes and be good to go for the week. Olivia checked in with us when we got there and then texted a few times during the week to make sure we were finding everything we needed in the apartment and in the city. Also, when I was struggling one morning with the internet connection, she responded to my texts promptly and quickly came by to reset the WiFi and give me extra info on connecting to the net. My favorite part of the whole trip was enjoying the apartment's balcony. It looks out over the Quarter and the view and feeling of immersion into the city can not be beat. Sipping coffee in the morning, watching people walking by to work or checking out the people going out in the evenings was so fun and relaxing. This apartment was excellent and I would stay there again and again (and tell my friends and family to stay there too!).

  • Olivia was great to work with! My first Airbnb experience and she was great in helping me understand the process.

The location is amazing, you're a block from Bourbon Street and walking distance to the museums and jazz performances in the French Quarter.

The apartment is nice, it shows the culture of the French Quarter so if you're looking for an authentic experience the apartment certainly helps.

They were very accommodating, my flight was delayed several times and they had no problem adjusting their schedule to meet me to check-in.

    Highly recommend her!
