Renovated basement studio with private entrance and bathroom. Located on the border of the Mission and sunny Bernal Heights. :)

The Space

Newly renovated PRIVATE basement studio in a 1900 Victorian Farmhouse. Located on the border of the super hip Mission District and sunny and quiet Bernal Heights.

My girlfriend and I live directly above this space, so we are looking for guests who can commit to being quiet after 11pm. Single travelers, couples and couples with a well-behaved child are welcome. :D

Walk to the top of Bernal Hill for amazing views!

And if this isn't enough for you, the heart of the Mission district (Mission and Valencia between 24th and 16th st) is only a 10 min walk! You are also a 5 min walk to the Cortland St. shops in the heart of Bernal Heights!

Notes:

No kitchen stove in apartment, or laundry facilities, though I will consider doing laundry for guests staying for a week or more.

I am looking for quiet, clean and responsible guests. Your studio is private, but there are people who live above you. Quiet hours should start at 11pm. Don't bring the party home.

  • We had a very pleasant stay, the neighborhood is very cute. Christoppher left various good tips to visit and to eat. We absolutely would recommend the place!

  • Nice place to stay. We were two adults and one kid. The studio apartment had more than enough room for us. Chris had the apartment well equipped. What we really liked about the apartment was the location. Bernal Heights is lovely. The Mission is fun. Lots of wonderful restaurants of all sorts close by, as well as grocery stores. Lots of very good public transport close by -buses, street cars, and BART. A lovely base in San Francisco -situated in a funky, cozy, and diverse neighbourhood with easy transportation to the rest of the city.

  • Christopher let me stay in his studio for just 2 nights which was very helpful as most airbandb hosts ask for at least 3.

  • This studio is in a wonderful location, very close to the city, the Oakland Bay bridge, the airport, Mission district, etc. The beds were very comfortable, even the pull out couch. Just so you know, the TV is only for watching DVD's since it is not hooked up to cable or antenna.

  • Really fantastic spot!! Chris was a wonderful host, and his place was perfect for our 2 day trip. He went above and beyond as a host, even providing us a bottle of CA wine. His studio also allowed us to see a really awesome part of San Fran that we wouldn't have otherwise. Absolutely loved it!

  • The studio was totally perfect for our little getaway to SF. Christopher was an awesome host; communicative and helpful for sure. The space was super cute and clean and the location was just what we needed. I would highly recommend this adorable spot and look forward to staying here during future trips to the city!

  • A fantastic studio, tasteful and homely, that made our short stay in San Francisco wonderful! The studio is located in a wonderful area, easily accessible to public transport and a great spot for cafes, nice walks and cool quirks. Thank you to Chris for your hospitality, communication and organisation.
