Interaction with Guests
I live next door, so I'm around some of the time. Often, we are crossing paths :)
We are situated in the Historic Treme neighborhood, in a cross section with the 7th ward and Esplanade Ridge. Perfectly located between Jazzfest Fairgrounds (1.0 miles) and Frenchmen Street (1.1 miles) and only 1.6 miles from Mercedes-Benz Superdome!
This is a true neighborhood experience. If you would like to experience New Orleans outside of the tourist district and a bit off the beaten track, this is the place. We are a couple of blocks from a little corner store and the bus line, on Esplanade. We love this block, as it is still keeping to its New Orleans roots. For a more tourist experience, do consider staying closer to The French Quarter.
We are so glad Uber has arrived in New Orleans! We also have a bus line two blocks away, and Esplanade Ridge is a great route to walk and bike on. Walking and Public transit is for the more adventurous traveler. For those that are staying longer term and want another layer of comfort, New Orleans is best done in a vehicle.

Our host was awesome! Extremely welcoming, and provided some good suggestions where to go for some delicious dinner. The house was even better than expected. Charming, clean, and all of the necessities to feel at home!
Airbnb is definitely my favorite accommodation site to use when I travel and of all the places I've stayed Odile's place has been my favorite! The apartment itself is even better than I had hoped for. The neighborhood was close enough to the French Quarter and Canal street to take a walk (even though it was very hot during our stay) but not close to all the commotion. Odile was beyond friendly and helpful and we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch chatting with her. On my next visit to NOLA, I will definitely be booking this place again!
Loved the apartment! Perfect location to be a bit removed from the craziness of New Orleans without being too far from anything. Photos are accurate and we found the space perfect for our long weekend stay in NOLA. Very comfortable and clean. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Beautiful place! Very comfortable, quiet, and a few minutes' drive to City Park, restaurants, bars, etc. A residential neighborhood—great if you'd rather feel like a local than a tourist (we were in town visiting friends).
Beds + shower deserve extra mention for how comfortable they were. Odile was accessible next door if we needed anything, but the unit is very private.
We loved Odile's place, really cute, clean, as described! Odile did her best to suit our needs and she always responded quickly to our questions.
The neigborhood was safe and we were able to walk from Odile's place to the French quarter easily!
We had a great time in NOLA and a lovely stay at La Belle Terre. Odile was very accommodating and great at getting in touch with us, even though our flight was a few hours late. The house is lovely - just like the photos. We typically walked back and forth from the neighborhood to the Quarter and Frenchman area (about a 30 minute walk) and occasionally took a cab ($10.50 for four people). It was nice to have a home-base with a kitchen, comfortable furniture, and relative peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!
Odile made us feel very welcome and comfortable for our stay in New Orleans. The house is lovely and the French decorations charming. The two bedrooms are very comfortable although the couch not so much. While it was a longish walk to the French Quarter it was a nice, direct one with a chance to view various types of homes and buildings. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to visit again.
About the Host, Odile
We purchased this property to share with our daughter because we love New Orleans. We like going so much we wanted to have a great place to stay and feel like the locals. Unfortunately we can't be there all the time and thought others would love to use our place when visiting. Our daughter will be next door to help in any way she can.
