With the sunrise kissing you awake after which you glide down the stairs to make an espresso followed by a casual jog to and along the beach? Ok we don't want to overhype it so please read the full description before you book.
In short this is a super, spacious, bright and airy home with e-backup, pool, perfect in/outdoor living – in beautiful Fish Hoek, near Cape Town and all major sights.
The space
Ocean Song is set over three levels - that means you will climb a few floors while moving between spaces and keep nice and fit.
It also means it's probably not the right house to recover from a knee op or bring granny. The layout lets you maximise on the most incredible ocean views and views of the mountains and Fish Hoek.
All spaces are bright, stylishly decorated with really all amenities you need and have high ceilings and allow the sun in from all angles (please note that this means you will be woken up by the sun as only one bedroom can be darkened to the natural light by means of shutters)
The entrance level (one set to stairs up from the parking area) features the pool with a deck seating area as well as a table and chairs for outside lunch/dinners - all connected with sliding doors that can be fully opened to the inside where you find a couch and a bar fridge to keep the drinks ready :)
The second level has an open-plan kitchen/living area. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who love to cook, including a WATER FILTER, so NO need to buy and carry bottled water.
Enjoy an extra large dining table with majestic sea views, as well as game area with 2 comfortable couch and a new SMART- TV.
Fast Wi-Fi available, perfect for streaming or remote work.
Both are connected with sliding doors to an outside terrace with a tables and chairs for those morning coffees on the verandah. This level also holds the "blue bedroom" with a queen sized bed and its own bathroom. This bedroom has a view to the side of the house, not the ocean.
On the top floor there is the amazing master bedroom with a king size bed, telescope, full ensuite large bathroom (shower with sea view) and a gas fireplace to keep the romantic and you warm in winter; access to the verandah with a sundbed.
On the other side of the stairs there is a kids bedroom (red room) with a bunk bed, featuring a double and a single bed. This bedroom is connected via a full bathroom with the "beige" room, featuring a queen bed with stunning ocean views and also direct access to the verandah.
Noteworthy things:
South African houses are cold in winter so please bring warm clothes as there is no heating system as such the house in Europe e.g. ;
There is a BIG ELECTRICAL BACK UP system.
The backup system covers the plugs, lights and the small amenities. The geyser is set in a way that there is always hot water.
Beside a friendly and safe neighbourhood the house also has a new, extensive alarm system and outside (front & back ) camaras to make our guests feel safe.
The suitability for children should be checked - there is no fence around the pool, stone stairs and high verandahs which may not be safe for unattended adventurous toddlers.
We do provide a washing machine, but while a tumble dryer is present, it is not available to guests.
Please note that the garage is not available for guests but you can park safely just outside it.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole house except the garage, the lift and the tumble dryer as well as the cupboards labelled private containing some belongings of the owners.

if you are staying longer than a week we will provide a cleaner once a week - no other cleaning staff allowed

Please note: the pool service will come once a week usually on a Friday they normally only take about 15 min. In addition a gardener comes every two weeks to water plants and clean the outside area.
WINTER (June-mid Sept.) guests- South African homes are cold in winter and don't have central heating. This house doesn't get very cold as so sunny but there is no central heating type of warmth so please be prepared for that. We provide electric blankets and 2 gas heaters (incl. 1 set of gas).
