Interaction with Guests
We are friendly and social and love spending time with our guests and advising on things to do in town. We are also respectful of guests' need for space, and are happy to let you be as private as you prefer.
We love our neighborhood's close proximity to SOCO (South Congress) and downtown, while still remaining quite and secluded.
Other Things to Note
We are currently in the process of having photos taken to update our listing. The current photos depict the house as it was when we first moved in, and we have since painted several rooms and added some new furniture.
We're a very laid back couple and don't have many house rules. That being said, we do have a few guidelines we appreciate being followed. There is no smoking allowed indoors, but you are welcome to smoke outside on the open patio if you like. We ask that you please be respectful of our home and anything you use while staying with us. You may have guests visit during your stay with pre-approval from us, however no large parties please. We are happy to provide breakfast items during your stay, but please provide other food and beverages on your own.
Jill and Dobi are the perfect hosts! They were so accommodating and generous and made us feel right at home. The house is conveniently located near the airport as well as Downtown and the South Congress shopping district. We were treated to ample space and were able to access everything we needed and more, including laundry facilities and cuddles with their three adorable dogs. The house is always kept neat and tidy and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. We could not have asked for more friendly or welcoming hosts for our first AirBnB experience, and would love to stay with Jill and Dobi again in the future!
Jill and Dobi were great hosts from the moment I started communicating with them! Jill is super responsive to messages and very helpful in answering questions before my move-in. It made my transition to Austin a lot easier.
Their home is beautiful and cozy. And they always keep it very neat and clean. The bedroom is a great size and has ample drawer and closet space. And I loved their spacious kitchen and outdoor space.
Jill and Dobi were always very kind and welcoming to me - I felt comfortable and at home there. And they were super sweet to my little dog which made me love my stay even more. He quickly became part of the pack and fast friends with their three adorable pups.
All in all I have nothing but great things to say - would highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a long or short stay!
My sister and I felt lucky--the house is within walking distance of SoCo (South Congress shopping area), our hosts Jill and Dobi were polite and formal when we wanted to chill, and very warm when we wanted to talk! They are perfect. Best of all are the adorable dogs: Molly, Tyson and Boosa. The house itself has been done with retro in mind. The rooms are light and cozy: we felt safe and peaceful in them.
Dobi and Jill's home was comfortable, clean, and convenient for our three night stay in Austin. Everything we needed was provided, including snuggles from their three adorable dogs. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, providing many suggestions on dining and even great house hunting tips, and insight on Austin neighborhoods. We had a great stay and would definitely return!
Dobi and Jill were such wonderful and gracious hosts! I never expected to have such an amazing first Airbnb experience! Their dogs are adorable too and got along great with my dog Lucy. They showed me around, educated me on the local spots to go to, and made me feel like I was part of their family. The location was awesome because you could walk down to South Congress to socialize, go out to dinner, or shop or you can go for a quiet walk in the neighborhood to Stacey Park. I highly recommend staying with Jill and Dobi and their adorable dogs!
I visited for one month and felt very comfortable. The hosts were sincere. I hope to return again. Thank you
We are new homeowners and new to Airbnb, so we're looking forward to hosting our first guests in our new home. We love our neighborhood and enjoy walking to the nearby restaurants and shops on S. Congress. We have three dogs whom we adore, a Chiweenie/Minpin mix named Busa, a Boxer named Tyson, and a fluffy Shepherd/Shih tzu mix named Molly.
We both work full-time during the week, but would love to spend time showing our guests around Austin in the evenings and weekends. Dobrisa is fluent in both Japanese and Croatian and I speak some basic French. We're both very easy going people who enjoy entertaining. We love good food and good company and are eager to meet new people.
