Single bedroom in the heart of trendy Vesterbro - close to central railway station (800m), which is also reachable by bus. A non blocked view to a park-like area from the balcony is a perfect way to start any day.
A lot of new places spring to life in this area almost daily: Good restaurants, fantastic take-aways, and quite a few (wine) bars. The apartment is located around the corner from one of the main foodie-streets of the city.
I'm a bit of a bicycling enthusiast, and would love to show you around one of the most bicycle friendly cities (if I have the time). It is easy to rent bicycles here, and if you want me to plan for that, just let me know.
I bake my own traditional danish rye-bread, and you are welcome to it.
There is a single bed and a place to hang your clothes if you plan to stay more than a day.
The appartment is on the 4th floor, and there is no lift!
Internet access is of course included - as is a TV in the room. Also you are welcome to watch in the living room
Washing machine is available.
Soren's place: good location, great host, tidy and comfortable room, close to bus stop and trains. I had a great stay there, felt right at home.
Mixed review. Pluses: location (near nice granola resto and walk to lovely park area and 10min walk from train and Tivoli), fair price, quiet, access to balcony, bread provided, sink in room, clean room, accompanied me to his local good Vietnamese resto. Things to be aware of: the bed is lumpy and on soft side, no window covering on main window/door, there was another roommate and Soren slept in the living room so that wasn't available to hang in and the room your in is his. Bathroom ok though not cleanest shower area, four flights to walk up and down, tv in room doesn't work, and when leaving early in morning he kindly saw me off, but in his underwear. Putting pants on would have avoided awkwardness...Maybe a European thing? Fair warning particularly to women traveling alone.
The bed is definitely not lumpy - whether it is too soft is a matter of taste, but others have praised it.
The TV definitely works, and asking me how to work it would have solved that. I am quite sure I mentioned that when you arrived.
I kindly saw you off! I heard you were about to leave and rushed out to make sure you were ok - and you make it sound like I prance around the apartment without pants. The only ‘european thing’ about that was trying to look out for my guests. A large number of female guests traveling alone have visited here, and you are the only one who ever noted any awkwardness.
For future reference, just speak up when you have the chance, instead of leaving unfounded and unfair reviews for everyone to see. Imagine how awkward this feels.
I was traveling by myself to Copenhagen, and Soren's place was perfect! It was so easy to get to, I don't think I got lost once :) He is a great conversationalist and has a lot of stories from his own travels. His balcony overlooks Vesterbrogade, and apparently you can see Sweden from the roof (not for me, we had a snowstorm). Everything was so clean, my room was very cozy. I can't wait to come back to Copenhagen, I would definitely stay with Soren again!
Staying at Soren's place was an absolute pleasure! I was in Copenhagen for the weekend, and had a great time. Soren was a great host, the place was great, clean and in a fantastic area of town. Highly recommended!
I was traveling solo around Copenhagen and enjoyed my stay at Soren's apartment in Vesterbro. My room was very clean and came with a beautiful view. The apartment is conveniently located as it is only 10 minutes walking distance from the central station, with a lot of interesting restaurants, cafes, bars, shops nearby. There was also no problem walking around the neighborhood at night. Soren is a very pleasant and welcoming guy who can hold interesting conversations!
I had a lovely stay at Soren's place. The room and appartment generally was really comfortable and in a great area, convenient to transport to and from Copenhagen. I would suggest that he let's prospective people know about the five flights of stairs to carry one's luggage up, but aside from that it was just great, and he was very welcoming to me.
I spent 3 days in Copenhagen. The accommodations were perfect: a cozy clean room with a very comfortable bed, centrally located but also quiet. Søren is an excellent host, and a really nice guy. He had lots of great tips about what to see and do in Copenhagen, a foodie with excellent taste, and makes a mean cup of coffee. We had great conversations and I truly felt at ease, as if i was visiting an old friend.
The neighbourhood is perfect: you can easily get lost on quiet streets or explore restaurants and shops. You can also walk to most touristic attractions within 15-30 minutes. I had a great time, and I would highly recommend this host and the accommodations.
I spent one night at Søren's place. He is a very kind and easy-going person. He provided very helpful advice for public transport and sightseeing. The room was tidy and quiet. Søren's apartment is close to the main railway station (10 min walk) and the city centre. I enjoyed my stay a lot and highly recommend Soren as a host. Thank you very much.
Stayed at Søren's for one night, apartment is in a convenient area (easy 10 minute walk from the station) and he was a genial host. Plenty of amenities nearby, highly recommend.
Rather than arriving late night, I arrived early morning thanks to a flight change. Soeren was gracious enough to meet me in the a.m.
The location was reasonably good and the small room and bed provided were fine.
I wasn't thrilled with the shared bathroom. It was adequate, but needed cleaning and renovation/restoration.
Soeren was accommodating and quite kind so everything worked out. Thanks for that. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by the rescheduled flight.
