Forestarìa is the name of our farm, inspired by a popular history
of Lucca that our grandparents told us. According to the legend

Inspired by the memory of this story, we decided to call our

our products. The property was bought in the 80s and

The company is mainly related to the olive harvest and
their transformation into a very good extra virgin olive oil, on a

Eleonora and Marco are perfect hosts, very helpful and kind. Their house is amazing, it is full of Tuscanian character and village charm. Me and my friend have stayed at the farm for 2 nights and it was unforgettable time. There are 2 local restaurants in the village with the most delicious home made food - highly recommended. We will definitely will come back!!!!! Thank you Eleonora and Marco!!!!!!!!

Eleonora is a fantastic host and forestaria is a beautiful, peaceful and charming place. Highly recomanded as well as the olive oil!
%100 the most beautiful place in the universe, great place to relax and rejuvenate after busy city adventures but still plenty of adventures to be had if you choose. Wonderful walks around the olive groves, you will meet some tiny kittens. 2 great restaurants walking distance and close to lucca among others.
Eleanora is the most gracious, generous and wonderful host. An absolute pleasure to talkl to (in perfect English)
I will be back as soon as I can!
Arrive to Eleonora's Forestaria was a fantastic moment. We went by public transport (train from Bologna to Firenze, from Firenze to Lucca, bus from Lucca to Marlia Mercato, and a minibus from there to Valgiano). The house is like in a dream. The whole stay was like a film, other guest were making dinner when we arrived. They invited us to eat with them, we took the wines we bought during the day. It was just perfect! The room was of a very stylish Toscany athmosphere place, warm and simple, with just the right amount of furnitures and objects, in the biggest harmony. The memory of this evening that we spent there will remain unforgettable, in the very best meaning!
What a beautiful home!
We enjoyed 2 nights at Forestarìa and wish we could have stayed longer. The view from the house is awe inspiring especially at sunset.
Eleonora and Marco have created a wonderful home and we felt welcome as soon as we arrived with a friendly hug! The interior is beautiful, simple and rustic with a very comfortable bedroom. Outside the stepped garden is a great place to sit and enjoy the surroundings to a glass of wine and to go and explore the olive grove and vegetable gardens.
We visited Lucca during our visit which is a short drive away. It's a lovely city that feels less touristy than others in Tuscany. A great way to see it is hiring bikes to cycle around the city walls.
Up in Valgiano we went to a local agriturismo for dinner, recommended by Eleanora, serving genuine local food and wine - delicious and it was like eating in a neighbour's dining room!
Our stay was too short and we will certainly be back to Forestarìa one day soon :)
We loved the location and the style of Eleonora and Marco's place. Very peaceful with great hill side views. We cycled to Forestaria which was tough because of the hill but well worth it for the views and the excellent cycle the next day. Cycling around the hills through great scenery with olive farms and vineyards was the highlight of our trip.
We had a great stay at Forestaria! We felt really welcome and Eleonora and Marco are perfect hosts. The farm is beautiful and they are happy to help you with every question you have. There are plenty things to do, for example Lucca and Barga are really great. Also you should try their olive oil! It's delicious. Thank you so much! Ciao Nick and Tatiana
The first an most important thing: Eleonora was an excellent host, friendly, warm and perfect in every way! The room was clean, special and we felt absolutely comfortable with it. The farm is unique and has a very rustical flair. The other guests were nice and we had a "holiday-feeling" from the first minute we arrived.
The view from the farm, the landscape and the whole surrounding was like we expected, a little piece of "postcard-italy". The perfect place for a time-out. If we visit italy again we will definitily spend a few days in that special place!

We had a very good stay at Eleonora's place. They are both a very welcoming couple making you feel comfortable. They gave us very good advise during our stay and we good borrow maps of the region . They have done an amazing job on their "farm" and have a very nice garden for vegetables. Eleonora we love your sauces and olive oil!!! The place is ideal for both beach and mountain trips. And it ids so nice to wake up in this scenery.
We'll come back.
We came to Forestaria to enjoy the region and had the best time we could hope for! Eleonora and Marco are incredible hosts. They are very knowledgable about the area and will recommend excellent choices in terms of restaurants and wine tastings around Valgiano. We also did some hiking around the area, there are some great spots and trails around for walking. We didn't have a car and were okay for about 4 days, but If we were to go there again we would probably rent a car.
