We had the most incredible time at the Wood House at Bamboo Cottages(BC). We were welcomed at the airport by a driver and then driven the 40 min to the cottages. It's a very small resort (about 20 rooms). The place is well designed and manages. We were especially interested in the place since it runs purely on solar energy. It is clear that the BC makes every effort to be both socially responsible (for example they clearly care about their staff) and ecologically responsible in the way they power the place, use reusable glass water bottles, serve locally sourced food. We were greater by the manager, Charles, who was wonderful and helpful and made us feel at home. The cottage is amazing, just beautiful. It's a few steps from the water. We enjoyed laying in hammocks, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and yoga while we were visiting. I cannot recommend this place enough as a wonderful spot to unwind. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely loved staying at the Woodhouse by the sea. And that's exactly why. It is right on a beautifully clear blue water beach with only a few other guests. It was homely and peaceful. The Woodhouse is apart of Bamboo Cottages and with that we were able to enjoy delicious meals, a beautiful view, free yoga and kayaking and also get to know some of the wonderful staff who did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay. Truly an amazing time! We can not wait to come back and to stay much longer than before! BIG LOVE X

We loved staying at Bamboo Cottages & specifically The Woodhouse. It's a unique little beach bungalow with a rustic charm all its own. There was no A/C (not surprising) but we were just fine with the provided fan. It's also open up top, allowing mosquitos to join you, but they do provide some incense for evening that keeps them at bay. It was wonderful being directly on the beach and being able to peek out of bed and see the ocean. The staff was wonderful--from the front desk to the restaurant. Everyone was very sweet and attentive. We used the resort's kayaks a couple times and rented a scooter one day for a wild adventure. I loved the soup of the day. haha. I had lots of options every night as a pescatarian, but the soups were my favorite. Their tofu banh mi was the jam. Romantic. Quiet. Serene. Beachy. Rustic. Chilllllll.

The staff at The Woodhouse/Bamboo Cottages were incredibly nice and helpful. They did everything possible to help us with our stay in Phu Quoc, even helping us book flights that we had thought had sold out, and picking up contact lens solution for us from the island's only pharmacy. The location of the resort, in Vung Bao, was more isolated than Long Beach, and it often felt like we the only ones lying on the beach, which was also more natural-looking than Long Beach. The food was excellent, with great vegetarian options, and the bar/restaurant played much-needed good music. We were able to hire a moped from the resort, and they lent us a kayak for free for an hour and a half which we were able to paddle out to the nearby Fingernail Island, which we had all to ourself, snorkelling around the coral reefs with the fish. The wood house itself is not for the faint hearted, as it isn't exactly nature-proof (they provide a mosquito net over the bed though). It was a great experience staying in the adorable looking shack, which had its own hammock out front, and was right on the sand, only feet away from the sea. Much recommended.

The place was a beautiful little woodhouse, right by the beach, exactly as the pics show. We had a wonderful time there. The staff was so, so nice and gentle. We had a stupid motorbike accident (nothing serious, just fell over because of the rain) and they were extremely caring and made us feel a little like home. Thanks so much for everything, Charles. :*
