A beautiful chalet in a fantastic location, close to 5 major ski resorts and many famous cycling cols. An unforgettable place to spend time with friends and family.
Le Villaret is a tiny village nestled on the mountainside, close to many small and major ski resorts in the Taranteise Valley (La Rosiere, St Foy, Val D'Isere, Tignes and Les Arcs all close by).
It's a beautiful, sunny location at 1,370m and a perfect place to end a days skiing if you're looking for quality time outside the resort centres, with amazing views over the mountains.
In the Summer it is a fantastic base to explore the mountain villages, or as a cycling retreat close to many major cycling routes (Col De L'iseran, Col de la madeleine, Col du Petit St Bernard)
This newly built chalet (2012) has 4 bedrooms plus an additional bedroom 5 on the mezzanine floor. All bedrooms have en-suites, all are with showers/toilets and 2 are with baths. It comfortably sleeps 10-11 people but is also fine for smaller groups.
There is a huge open plan living room with 'A-frame' window overlooking the valley and a large dining table comfortably seating 10 guests. All specifications and furnishings are to a very high standard.
There is a TV area and a purpose built, stone seating area around a large, open plan fireplace.
Above the living room is a mezzanine floor with sofa bed to use as bedroom or as additional relaxation area, with TV, PS3 and office facilities.
From the living room you will find a 30ft balcony with views over the mountains. The chalet is South facing so keeps the sun all day.
At lower ground floor level there is an impressive entrance hall with huge ski / cycling changing room, a games room with baby-foot, darts, TV and table tennis. Next door to here is a spa room with 5-man sauna, Italian shower and mood lighting. A great way to end the day!
This floor also has a large utility room with washing machine, dryer and ironing board etc.
Outside there is a large terrace and garden with firepit (BBQ), outside shower next to the jacuzzi (the jacuzzi fits 10 and is conveniently located underneath the balcony with a rope & pulley to send down refreshments!)
There are two garages and plenty of off-street parking in front of the chalet.
This mountain retreat is 15 minutes from Bourg St Maurice and close to all resorts (closest is La Rosiere in 7 mins, furthest is Val D'Isere in 25 minutes). There are some great, mountain side restaurants and bars a very short drive away.
The chalet is self-catering although can be offered on a fully catered basis and we can also provide a bed and breakfast service.
It can also be booked with 'Le Petit Chalet' (to the right on the photo) which is a smaller (sleeps 4), luxury chalet built and furnished to the same specification,
Everything. The spa, jacuzzi, games room, table tennis, boot warmers etc etc.
We can help you plan your trip. We also have local housekeeper who can help look after you.
We love the view from the balcony over the Tarenteise Valley, the smell of the woodburners from the other chalets in the hamlet. We also love the local hidden gems, including Chez Merie, an amazing local restaurant.
Car parking for 4-5 cars on the drive.

Great Chalet. V tastefully furnished and well equipped.
We loved the location provided you don't mind having a short drive to get to the slopes.
Brad could not have been more helpful in planning our trip.
Would definitely recommend.
Brad made us feel exceptionally welcome to his beautiful chalet. He was an extremely generous and gracious host who was always on hand to answer queries and questions before, throughout and after our stay. The chalet was beautifully presented and prepared in anticipation of our arrival and the communication from Brad was detailed, excellent and prompt. It was very clear that he had a genuine and sincere interest in us having the best time and making the most of the luxurious facilities that this fantastic chalet offered its guests.
The beauty of the chalet’s location aside, the chalet itself was nothing short of exquisite and it had some beautiful and subtle architectural flourishes added to the construction which made it feel absolutely unique. It was a blend of traditionally constructed Alp chalet and modern luxury living. The traditional features of which were greatly complemented by the luxurious modern fitments and facilities, and the furnishings, and carefully chosen and tasteful decor is on a par with any other high luxury apartment or hotel that I have stayed at in the past.
The chalet has the enviable benefit of possessing possibly the best views of the Alps that I have ever experienced from a chalet, and this is in no small part attributable to being based in a small hamlet. It was tranquil, peaceful and the stunning views were unencumbered by other buildings blocking the vista. This is a view that is truly best appreciated from the hot tub after a long hard day of skiing!
To put the trip into summary, Brad was a brilliant host who made a genuine effort to ensure we were happy and enjoyed the stay, and the chalet was in a beautiful location and was brilliantly equipped with all the facilities and mod cons that you could possibly ask for. This was a truly pleasurable experience that was complemented and perfected by the simple addition of adding some great friends to join me. Worry free, hassle free, and in every way simply stunning and perfect. Recommended without hesitation to others considering using the chalet.
