Sant Alessio is a modest area for young and old. Most of it is within walking distance, but even if you want to go further away, you can rely on good connections. We still recommend renting a car at the airport.

The train station: "Sant Alessio Siculo Forza d'Agro" is 10 minutes from the apartment.

Recommendations:
10 minutes away by foot, the "Piazza Mercato" in Santa Teresa takes place every other Wednesday, a large market that we highly recommend visiting. There is food, clothes, fabrics, shoes, electronics and much more.
Fish lovers can walk 17 minutes to the "A18".
Pizza connoisseurs go to the "Pizzeria Trocadero," right next door.
The so-called lidos are beach bars that make the evening even more lively. Of which Mamma Mia in Santa Teresa is one of the local niches, this walk along the sea takes 15 minutes.
For those who know the movie "The Godfather," Savoca might be interesting. It is a dreamy romantic place on a mountain where the wedding scene was filmed. To get there you need 12 minutes on a vehicle.
Glitz and glamour can be found in Taormina, also fantastic and very well known for gala events. This village is 25 minutes away without traffic. For party people, it is also worth going to Giardini-Naxos, which is a 30-minute drive from Sant Alessio, or to Letojanni, which is a 15-minute drive away.
