This self-sufficient cabin is set amongst the peaceful bush of the blue-mountains. With a huge deck amongst the tree-tops, inspiring views, and cosy loft-style bed this is perfect for a writer, birdwatcher, bushwalker, meditator, or a couples getaway. The cabin is contained within the property of a larger house, where helpful hosts will direct you towards the best local bush walks (though the house is deep enough in the property to provide full privacy).A car is not needed for short stays as it is close to famous lookouts ( Anvil Rock, Pulpit Rock) and spectacular bushwalks . However you will need to get a taxi from the blackheath train station to the house if you choose not to bring a car. We can organise this for you.
The property overlooks the Grose Valley and provides the perfect access to the Blue Gum Forest walk. Ten-minutes drive from the town of Blackheath, you are close to antique-shops, art galleries and excellent local restaurants. The cabin has one double bed, a sofa, interesting books, a kitchenette, shower and toilet, and large veranda. The shower and the toilet are attached to the large veranda, so you need to walk outside on the deck for about 1 metre to get from the living room to the bathroom.
The (small) kitchenette has a stove top with two hot plates, a toaster, a sink, and a bar fridge. There will be basic supplies such as salt, pepper, tea, coffee, tea pot, coffee plunger etc.
There is a stone BBQ about 20 metres from the front door of the house that guests are also welcome to use, firewood is provided.
This place is perfect for readers, writers, bushwalkers, bird watchers, couples and anyone who likes being in the bush. Please don't hesitate to ask for any more details.

The Treehouse is a lovely, cosy and secluded little haven surrounded by bushland and great little walks. The view is stunning, the space eclectic and inviting and Lucy was helpful and quick to respond. We hope to visit again. Thanks.
We had an excellent time staying here. What a great experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and being right in the bush. So cosy and lovely. A great place for a couple getaway. Great communication with Lucy and had no problems at all. We will be back soon!
We had a great long weekend at the Treehouse! We didn't get to meet Lucy but she gave very clear, detailed instructions on how to find it so it was easy to find. It was rainy and foggy the entire weekend so we all we did was stay in bed reading and napping, which we didn't mind! The heaters and electric blanket helped keep us warm and we had what we needed to cook all our meals as well. There was no hot water on the first night but once I told Lucy about this she asked her friend to come have a look and eventually got an electrician to come fix it almost immediately. She also reimbursed us some money for the inconvenience which she didn't have to, but was really nice of her to do so. Would recommend this place for sure :)
The treehouse was fabby. A real feeling of isolation even though it's only 10 mins' drive to Blackheath (it's also far enough away from the main (gorgeous) house to feel completely secluded). It was wonderful waking up to dawn through huge windows. The treehouse is really comfy and cosy, the kitchen's well-equipped, and the shower is great. We also saw a family of roos grazing on the garden, which felt very special. Stay here and feel refreshed!
The place is stunning, and exactly like the photos. It is clean, and has all of the kitchen and bathroom products you'd need. The kitchen facilities are small (for instance, there isn't an oven) but we didnt miss anything, and were able to cook with no difficulty. The glass bathroom door looking out onto the bush is confronting at first, but quirky! We had a wonderful time, and a much needed escape with zero fuss.
The best blue mountains experience you could ever have! THE Couples romantic getaway. Lucy was very good communicator and friendly. Nothing to fault :)
The treehouse is a magical place, made even more so by the fog that we were surrounded by for most of the weekend! We had no problems finding the property with Lucy's directions and even though we were worried about being a little cold, the heater and electric blankets made it the perfect place to spend the colder evenings. The location was perfect and blackheath was a lovely little town to explore. Waking up on our final morning the fog had lifted and we were finally able to fully experience the view from bed which was beautiful! We both agreed that there is no where else we would want to stay when we take another trip up to the blue mountains!
