  • The Heart of Downtown is perfect for a couple who wish to be near the restaurants, shopping, Market, and Historic District. The apartment is quite comfortable and convenient. The hosts are helpful and great sources of information,
    we will stay again.

  • Although we started our stay at Justin and Shauna with some anxieties, eventually it became a wonderful place to stay at: a pleasantly decorated one bedroom condo with a kitchen well equipped AND located at an ideal place in Charleston. We hardly used the car that was parked in its own parking spot - except to go grocery shopping, which turns out super easy.. since it was two blocks up the road (no need for the car!!).

  • the apartment was nicely decorated, had 2 nice tv's, wifi. was quite roomy (i stayed there alone) and i appreciated that the kitchen had all the utensils and dinnerware needed if one cared to cook which i did on various occasions during my 2 week stay.

i thought the price for the place was a bit high since it was really off season but it seems charleston has become very popular nowadays. i've been visiting the city for the past 5 years and really love it.

the apartment hallways seem a bit run down but it's my understanding that they are to be renovated in near future.

the apartment was right in the center of town and it was easy for me to get to all the places i was interested in going to. there is good security in terms of access to building is through a code system.

i would say, however, that a new mattress is about due since the one there is a bit lumpy and saggy, definitely not firm enough (the left side in particular).

i never met shauna or justin but did communicate with shauna via email before arriving and twice by phone (it took her a couple of days to get back to me on two of the 3 occasions i called) but she did email me eventually with info i'd requested.

if the mattress were replaced, i'd definitely stay there again, especially if the prices were a bit more reasonable. i did, however, enjoy my stay there.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Shauna's place. We appreciated their flexibility in our travel schedule and when something went wrong she fixed it right away.

  • Location, location, location! This is perfect for staying in the heart of Charleston without paying the downtown hotel prices.

The apartment is literally steps from the historic landmarks...we walked to the market in five minutes, to Meeting Street in less than ten minutes. There is a major grocery store one block away. Everything is convenient.

The apartment itself is very cute...the owner has an artistic flair and has delightful posters and paintings. The bedroom is spacious. The hallway leading into the apartment is very drab...institutional, boring, and worn out. But open the door to the apartment and everything is great.

Justin and Shauna dropped off extra linens for us and were responsive to any questions we had before our trip. This is a great choice for a stay in Charleston.

  • Don't be discouraged by the building, the apartment is charming and cozy and in the PERFECT location. Just down the street from the wedding we attended at the Old Exchange and from all the bars, restaurants, and amazing downtown. You can't be the price for the location! We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • Great location. The apartment is within walking distance of many great places to eat. No complaints :)

  • Very cute place in the perfect location. From this one bedroom apartment, you can walk to dozens of restaurants, the market, and conveniences like grocery stores, CVS and loads of other spots. Ample parking makes life easy, and the pool is a lovely plus. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Keep in mind that if you are a party of three travelers, you should be very comfortable with each other as there's only one bathroom. For us and our adult daughter, it was just fine! Many thanks to Justin and Shauna for their great communication. We had such a good time in Charleston.
