About this listing
A beautifully furnished and bright apartment in the heart of Downtown Charleston's historic district and french quarter.
This unit comes with a huge master bedroom (queen bed), one full bathroom, 2 parking spaces, a pool, a fold-out couch that comfortably sleeps two, a balcony overlooking East Bay and walking distance to everything that matters.
One block away from a wonderful grocery store, 3 blocks from historic King Street Shopping District, 3 blocks from East bay's wonderful restaurant and bars, 1/2 a block from the Carriage Tour Ride headquarters and 2 blocks from Market Street. Does it get any better?
Hotels in this district will run $350 - $600 a night and still can't compare to these amenities AND 2 free parking spots with an outdoor private pool!
Bring your own sheets or choose from a stack of freshly laundered ones. Everything else is provided to you.
Enjoy complimentary wifi during your stay.
No smoking. No pets. No "spring breakers". Leave the unit like you found it and only those with a great attitude and respectful nature are welcome. Oh, and we almost forgot the most important rule... have fun and relax! it's Charleston!
We let ourselves in. It was clean and well maintained. Great, cozy place central to all the happenings.
Awesome location right in the middle of downtown Charleston - everything in our itinerary was walkable! Very clean accommodations. Shauna provided us a comprehensive handout through email many weeks before we arrived, so it was very easy to follow instructions on how to park, how to get in, and how to check out. She also responded very quickly to our email about checking in early and while that wasn't possible, she let us drop off our things early.
The bed in the unit we stayed in shook a lot whenever one of us moved, so the other person would wake up. Also the mattress was stiff, but it wasn't too uncomfortable.
We received a text from Justin over 24 hours after we checked out stating that we "deadbolted the lock" because the cleaning lady had told him she couldn't get in. He said we needed to "tell [him] where [we] put the keys in a timely manner." I thought that was strange since we had followed the check out instructions very carefully and had left the keys on the dining table, which means we could not have deadbolted the lock on the way out. I texted him back and even tried to follow up later that day and then a few days later to see if they figured out what happened and if the cleaning lady was able to get in. I even emailed both Shauna and Justin again later that week. No response. I thought that was odd, especially since the original text seemed like an accusation.
Despite the strange text after check out, I think the location is unbeatable, so still worth it to stay here.
The apartment listing and photos were accurate representations. The location was excellent for our purposes. Justin responded to our questions and issues (TV didn't work and he came promptly and fixed it.) We would stay in the apartment again if we come back to Charleston.
Our stay in Charleston was wonderful! The apartment is very homey and comfortable -- and the location is unbeatable! We were just blocks from restaurants, markets, and other attractions - so just perfect for our first trip to the Holy City. While we didn't meet our hosts in person, they were very responsive and their instructions were great. We can't wait to come back!
We were so happy with Shauna & Justin's apartment. We drove in from out of town, and the building was easy to find. The free parking out back was a plus, but we didn't use our car at all during our two-day stay. This was a perfect location for exploring Charleston. Our daughter was visiting the College, and it was a quick walk to the campus. We also walked King Street and the market and waterfront areas with ease. The supermarket (practically right across the street) provided us with the few things we needed for such a short stay, but you could easily stock a whole fridge there. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for our needs. Communication with Shauna and Justin was clear and timely. We would definitely choose this charming apartment again!
A charming, cheerful apartment in a most convenient area of Charleston. We hardly needed our car since we were in short walking distance to everything we needed: fine restaurants, great sites, ferry to Fort Sumter and Aquarium, nice shops. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean and organized.
