Sen is an excellent host. He is very courteous and cordial. He took care us very well to make our stay nice and comfortable. We checked in late at night but he was waiting for us to receive and help us unboarding our luggage. He was flexible and understandable on check out time as well. Apartment description was accurate as mentioned in the posting. Neighborhood is very safe, I walked with my family even around 2am with no issue. I would like to go back again to Sen's place and recommend everyone to choose his place with no hesitation.
I'd like to say many thanks to Sen. Flat is completely complies with the description; Sen is very caring and friendly open host, responsive and helping very quickly.
There are very comfortable beds, a normal hot water, close to the subway and all the shops. It should be noted only that the apartment is rather dark, the windows overlook the well-courtyard, and the constant noise in the yard until 11 pm. I recommend the apartment to young and active people. I do not recommend it for people with young children - due to the specific of electricity. But regarding myself - I'm pleased to stop here next time.
The whole experience was fantastic. Sen is a great host and meets you at the apartment to go over the simple rules. He also makes it clear he is always available during the stay. The place itself is spacious, very clean and in a great location. We will request to stay again I'm sure in the future.
This AirBnB apartment is just as presented. Even after all of the price add-ons for taxes, fees and refundable deposits it is a terrific buy in NYC/Queens. The owner and our host Sen is the best. He is very punctual and helpful. The physical apartment is World War II vintage with layers upon layers of paint that make it impossible to close some doors, but all of the necessities (shower, toilet, kitchen sink, refrigerator, AC, lights and fans) work perfectly. Sen explains how to use the apartment very completely since with age some things have their own personalities. The neighborhood is great for pubs, taverns and loads of ethnic restaurants. The laundry down at the end of the street was very useful. I do recommend that you insist that Sen do something about the mattress if he has not done so by now. He is very conscientious.
I have used airbnb a few times, but this is the first time in North America.
Sen is very friendly and helpful, answered all our questions in details. We feel like he is always around to help. He was available when we called him early in the morning for the clogged bathtub problem.
We loved the neighborhood. It was safe and quiet, yet convenience. It only took us 15-20 minutes to get to Time Square including walking and waiting for subway.
We drove to NYC, was worried about the car will get scratch or bumped when parked, but luckily didn't. I did see some cars have bumper padding installed. Finding a parking was as described by Sen, took us around 30 minutes to find a spot on the street wash lane.
Overall experience was good and as expected, for a pre-war building.
Sen was an amazing host -- welcoming and very responsive to our questions and needs. The apartment was just what we'd hoped for and met our every need -- not a lot of frills but clean, safe, close to transportation and just plain easy. If you aren't used to pre-war NYC apartments, there are quirks here and there (like how to pull the bathroom light switch) but for me that added to the charm and warmth. The neighborhood has all of the amenities you need like a 24-hour pharmacy, great Chinese food and pizza, and an easy hop into Manhattan on the 7 train.
Thank you, Sen, for a lovely and easy rental!

About the Host, Sen
Hello, I was formerly a philosophy and political science student with an interest in public service and policy. I currently manage a warehouse in Long Island City while I go back to school to earn an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
I coordinate with various renters in the area to share any extra space they might have to anyone that is interested in visiting, working, staying in the city, or even fellow New Yorkers that just need a place to relax while their relatives take up their own apartments.
I have had the privilege to have grown up, studied, and worked in and around New York City my entire life and thus, have intimate knowledge of this neighborhood and the Metropolitan area. I am quite fond of my hometown and would love the chance to share it with the rest of you!
