My parents and my sister stayed with Sen for 6 nights. He was very helpful and went out of his way to help them. The place is exactly what it says and is quite large and very clean.
The apartment is only a 2-3 minute walk from two subway stops and the Q60 and Q32 buses. Its about 15-20 mins into Grand Central.
The area itself is very safe and is full of nice restaurants and bars.
Sen was a fantastic host, clearly concerned about our welfare, and the information he provided on how to navigate the pre-war apartment's quirks and the neighborhood was very helpful. Old apartments in New York can get very cold in the winter, but Sen thoughtfully gave us electric blankets before we arrived, which really came in handy at night. (I would suggest earplugs for light sleepers in the winter because the steam radiator clanks briefly when it turns on.) It was easy to get to Manhattan, thanks to the subway station's proximity to the apartment, and an Uber taxi cost about $25 from Times Square without traffic in an off-peak period. Sunnyside is a great neighborhood, safe at night, and the flat was near a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops and a couple of drug stores. Everything you need is nearby.
The place is fine for a few nights, too dark and lots of foot noise from upstairs, even heard snoring from bedroom above. Could have been updated in bathroom and kitchen stuff. Not dirty, just not very nice. Carpet in bathroom? smelled.
Great location with easy access to the city. Sunny side is great.
Sen is a conscientious host, who explained everything about the apartment in detail. This property is definitely "vintage". It is, however, clean and very conveniently located. There was no heat in the building when we stayed there. Sen provided us with a space heater and an electric blanket. The pricing policy for this property could be a bit more transparent.
Thank you again for your feedback. I perfectly understand your concerns about more transparent pricing. AirBNB does not give us much space, especially on their mobile platform, to talk about pricing for things such as extra guests or for the weekend. We always make efforts to go through the pricing breakdown before a guest confirms their reservation, and we hope to continue to improve that aspect. Hope all is well!
Sen is a welcoming and accommodating host. He's easy to contact and helpful with both settling in and checking out. The apartment is functional and equipped with kitchen (toaster, coffee maker, sharp knife) and bathroom (soap, shampoo) basics; I would not call this a luxurious apartment, but it has everything you really need. This rental is in the wonderful neighborhood of Sunnyside, with lots of tasty restaurants, grocery stores and Mom and Pop establishments of all kinds. At least two of the nearby grocery stores are 24 hour. The apartment really is just a 5 minute walk to the 7 train, which takes you into Manhattan quickly. This is the third time I've stayed with Sen, and look forward to many more stays in the future!

About the Host, Sen
Hello, I was formerly a philosophy and political science student with an interest in public service and policy. I currently manage a warehouse in Long Island City while I go back to school to earn an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
I coordinate with various renters in the area to share any extra space they might have to anyone that is interested in visiting, working, staying in the city, or even fellow New Yorkers that just need a place to relax while their relatives take up their own apartments.
I have had the privilege to have grown up, studied, and worked in and around New York City my entire life and thus, have intimate knowledge of this neighborhood and the Metropolitan area. I am quite fond of my hometown and would love the chance to share it with the rest of you!
