About this listing
Pas de Français svp; nous voulons pratiquer notre anglais! Merci! :-)
The room is up one flight of stairs and features an antique double bed and a comfortable armchair; it has its own completely modernized en suite bathroom (shower, washbasin, toilet).
The house is charming but very very old and we can only accept guests who understand it needs to be treated with gentle care and forgiven its little crumbly bits. (Plumbing and electricity are up to date however and function with no problem whatsoever.)
We provide a free WiFi connection but only enough for emails and light internet browsing, there is not enough bandwidth to watch videos or listen to radio.
We do not have a television in the house but there are reading lamps to either side of the bed and next to the armchair.
Parking is not a problem in the village, you will easily find somewhere close to the house to park.
At the bottom of our street is a Boulangerie and on the other side, the café with a huge terrace, perfect for sitting and sipping and reading a paper and people watching. The cafe serves food only during the summer.
Surrounded by vineyards on gently rolling hills, our village is a pretty and peaceful place, full of traditional winemakers houses. During the warmer months, you will find the men playing pétanque on the promenade, under the shade of dozens of old plane trees.
The area is very popular with cyclists and walkers. Wineries are all around, offering fun tastings and other activities. Wine tours are available locally as well.
We are 20 minutes away from Pézenas, the pretty and pleasant ancient capital of Languedoc. Market day, on Saturday, is very busy and fun, with plenty to sample. We are just over an hour away from Spain, and just under an hour away from gorgeous Montpellier.
The Mediterranean and its lovely beaches are 25 minutes away.
Béziers airport is 25 minutes from the house, Montpellier airport is 50 minutes.
We can help arrange a pick up / drop off at either of these locations but a car is pretty much required if you want to explore the area at all.
No smoking, no pets as we suffer from allergies. Suitable for people with allergies to pets though!
If you require the use of our kitchen during your stay, please warn me ahead of time and it won't be a problem.
Interaction with Guests
