We spent more than a week in R.J.'s place. We loved the location a few steps away from a lively street (Franklin Av.) with many restaurant/bars/shops. Both ends of this street offer a connection to a subway station direct to Manhattan. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated with a small kitchen fully equipped. We were able to cook a few times during our stay. We also loved the TV including Netflix and the large amount of guides & plans available in the room. The shared bathroom was never a problem. R.J and his wife were welcoming and really helpfull anytime we needed them. The house was sometimes a little noisy but anyway I'll fully recommend this place to visit Brooklyn and Manhattan.

R J and Ellen were responsive to our messages. We enjoyed our stay at R J's place. The studio was spacious, and we liked the amenities that came with the place. Although the location is a bit far from LGA airport, it was doable via public transportation.

We stayed at RJ's place for more than a week. The place looks exactly like in the photos and the room is as comfortable as you can see! Dean Street 1066 is a good spot to stay for visiting both NYC and Brooklyn. It takes only 5 mins by foot and you are on the A/C subway line which can get you straight to Manhattan, if you wanna visit Williamsburg you just have to walk 10 min more and Prospect Park is just one train away from you!! So I would say this is a clever accommodation if you want to visit. After an exhausting day dinner is just 5 mins away because there are a lot of restaurants, from cheap to more intimate ones you can find what suits more to your needs. After dining you can drink a beer in one of the well packed pubs around or just go back to the room and rest without any noise from the street below. I would suggest this place 100%. TIP!

I loved my stay and highly recommend! The room is accurately reflected in the photographs, and actually it's a bit more like a small apartment (with a sink, mini-fridge, microwave and stovetop). I spent a day working in the room and enjoyed lots of natural light and great wi-fi. The bed is comfortable, and the house is within easy walking distance a several trains. I would definitely stay there again!

We (my wife and I) have very much enjoyed hosting over these last two years. We love New York and Brooklyn and can provide insider tips on getting the most from your visit. Our Crown Heights neighborhood has a lot to offer and we enjoy sharing our home and the joy that our guests have gotten from our local offerings. We are fairly new to Sullivan County, but we really enjoy exploring its amazing natural beauty, towns and festival sites in places like Narrowsburg, Calicoon and Bethel Woods.

We have young children so that keeps us busy. But we have a lot of fun taking advantage of all Brooklyn and Sullivan County have to offer - great parks, great people and great neighborhoods.

We have also travelled a few times with AirBnb and had great experiences with other hosts.
