Michele offers a clean, comfortable, quiet, quality retreat and she is a thoughtful, accommodating host. I have shared the good experience I had there with several friends already.
excellent luxurious guesthouse. great location. easy off street parking. best banana bread on the planet.
What a lovely hostess! Desiree and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we'll be recommending it to any friends and family staying in the area.
Michele has a great place to stay, seriously like staying at a 5-star resort but even better. She is a top notch host. We enjoyed the kitchen, rain shower, comfy bed, organic food, free bottle of wine and banana bread. Plus tv and internet. Quiet,, safe and beautiful residential neighborhood. Easy drive or bike down to the beach a mile away. Life in Carlsbad is pretty good especially when you stay here. We could easily have stayed for a year.
Everything about the stay was perfect. Everything! Michele was amazing and made everything readily available. The place was very comfortable, relaxing, peaceful, clean and super nice, very sophisticated, modern yet comfortable casual feel. Did I mention relaxing?!. The shower is to die for! I felt very welcomed so did my significant other. She had also everything we could possibly need and best of all it was all organic and Eco friendly. Every time we stepped out we referred to this place as "home". I will be making sure I stay here and not any other place in my future visits to Cali. I promise everyone else you won't regret your stay.
What a lovely place! The house was beautiful and so classy, done with quality furnishings and tasteful decor. If I am ever in Carlsbad again I would absolutely love to stay here again. The small things matter: eggs, bread and butter in the fridge, coffee on the counter, organic fruit in a bowl, homemade muffins to greet me and a friendly face when I checked-in. Michelle honors your privacy, but knows when to reach out as she was in contact via text when the electricity briefly went out, (it was fine, as I was out-and-about). She recommended a yoga studio (Peace, Love and Yoga) that was the bomb. I went to 3 classes in 4 days! This guesthouse is perfection, highly recommended! If you want privacy and class, this is your place.
For the price range, my husband and I agreed that this was probably the nicest place we've ever stayed with AirBNB, and we've stayed a lot of places! We walked in to home-baked cookies, wine, fruit, coffee, eggs, butter! The place was immaculate and so well designed. Every attention to detail you can imagine. It's a private, little guest house in a quiet, upscale area with easy access to the beach, San Diego, everything. We loved our peaceful, lovely stay. Thanks, Michele!
Let me start off by saying we didn't want to leave! This charming guesthouse provided a very comfortable and relaxing getaway for our babymoon. When we arrived we were greeted by Michele who was very pleasant and friendly. She had baked us some delicious muffins and provided a very good bottle of red wine.
The best part of our stay was the 5-headed shower! We could've stayed in there all day! :) The decor throughout the Studio was gorgeous, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The fridge was even stocked with organic breakfast essentials (eggs, butter, juice and cinnamon swirl bread-yum!) The recessed lighting with dimmer switches in every room was also a nice touch!
We are very pleased with our stay and will definitely be back again!
In one word, perfect! We had such a great experience! Michele was a great communicator as we were planning the booking. It was a little hard to tell from the pictures about how the studio was furnished (we've had some all-IKEA experiences) but we were very impressed when we arrived. I thought the bed was so comfortable, although my husband said it hurt his back, so I guess if you like softer mattresses it is great. The shower was wonderful! We were greeted with wine and a homemade blueberry cake as we entered. They had beach bikes that we were able to borrow (we didn't use them because we brought our little baby), and they even helped us find a golf course with a great afternoon deal and let us borrow some spare sets of clubs that they had. The kitchen was extremely well stocked (it had more stuff than my kitchen!) and Michele was thoughtful enough to leave some breakfast essentials in the fridge for us too. The bathroom was also very well stocked with all sorts of helpful items like stain remover, nail polish, hairspray, etc that I had forgotten. Also, the patio is very private and totally separate from their own garden/yard in the back. Because we had an infant, it was extremely helpful to have a parking space we could count on too. I was worried about no a/c, but I realized when I got there that San Diego is always the perfect temperature so were were very comfortable the entire week. The only cautionary note I have is that the space is an entirely open concept, so if you have a third person or child, there is no privacy between the kitchen and bedroom because there is no door, just a doorway, and the wall that sets off the bedroom goes only 9ft up instead of all the way to the 10ft ceiling to allow for better airflow. (It was just the two of us plus baby so didn't matter). We also liked how they really respected our privacy. Thanks, Michele and Dave, for such a great get away!
