About this listing
Liquid Magic Surf Resort is a serene Bed and Breakfast nestled in the rain forest of Costa Rica's Pacific Coast. With close proximity to the ocean, we offer the experience of the jungle as well as easy access to several local beaches. Wake up in the morning to the wild calls of the howler monkeys, parrots and toucans while enjoying a fresh breakfast poolside. Experience activities such as surfing, kayaking, hiking, waterfall repelling, snorkeling and diving while visiting Liquid Magic!
Liquid Magic Surf Resort offers three separate bungalows, so if the date you are looking for is blocked out please still send us an inquiry. We may have another bungalow available. If you are a larger group and require additional bungalows (the queen sleeps 2, jungle bungalow sleeps 5), please let us know and we can rent you our whole space! Our King Bungalow (listed here) offers a King size bed, a day bed with pull out trundle bed, beautiful hand crafted furnishings made from cortesa, cedro, cristobal and other tropical hard woods, AC, spacious bathroom with bathtub and a big open porch overlooking the jungle. The smaller beds are best for children. By limiting to only 3 rooms, Liquid Magic is the perfect place for those looking for pure peace and relaxation, as well as those looking for adventure and fun. Spa services, additional meals and WIFI are also available upon request. Your hosts make your Costa Rican experience unique by sharing the magic that this beautiful country has to offer. Make your reservation now for your dream Costa Rican vacation!
Liquid Magic offers a common rancho/hangout area by the pool as well as a full kitchen. The pool, rancho and kitchen are available for use to all of our guests. Laundry service is available for $10 per load.
Interaction with guests
Eugene and Caroline live on site and are available for any questions or concerns our guests may have.
Liquid Magic is located on a private residential road. Because of this our space is peaceful and accessible. Experience Costa Rica like a local and make your experience as unique as possible!
A rental car is recommended for convenience but shuttle or bus service and taxis are all available. If you need help arranging any transportation please don't hesitate to ask!
Other things to note
Liquid Magic is located off the main highway a little ways up the mountain. 4X4 is recommended but not always necessary. We usually recommend having a vehicle for the convenience of our guests but we also have reliable taxi and bus service for our guests that come without one. We have an ocean view but it is about 5-10 minutes driving to the nearest local beaches. We are located about halfway in between Dominical and Uvita (about 10-15 minutes driving to both) so we have many local restaurants and hang outs close by.
September - November ask about our low season rates!
The house rules are first and most important to enjoy and relax and take in all the incredible aromas from the beautifully landscaped gardens and the solitude of the peaceful surroundings. To help you to enjoy your experience at Liquid Magic we have a few suggestions. Please shut all windows and doors when the AC is on and turn it off when leaving to help us conserve Costa Rica's precious resources. We ask that no glass is ever by the pool. We understand that accidents happen and it is easier to avoid the situation completely. A full set of plastic plates, cups, etc is available in the rancho. We have a kitchen available to our guests that must be kept clean after each use. Most of all we would like each guest to enjoy their stay to the fullest. If you have additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask!
Eugene and Caroline are both longtime residents of Costa Rica. Eugene came many years ago in search of the perfect wave. Having found it on the Pacific Coast, he made Costa Rica his home and never left. Caroline came years later looking for a more simple and peaceful way of life. Together they run Liquid Magic Surf Resort offering their love of the country to their guests. Both are lovers of the water, nature and adventure and love sharing the specialness of this area with those who visit.
