Our spacious house is great for multi-family trips or larger groups, in a secluded location near Mount Snow. Kid-friendly and good for adults too - enjoy the hot tub after a day on the slopes!
Enjoy the run of a five bedroom house on an acre of land near the Mount Snow resort in southern Vermont.
The house sits at the end of a cul-de-sac among trees, overlooking a bend in the Deerfield river. It's a ten-minute drive to the slopes of Mount Snow, and a further half-hour to Stratton.
It sleeps ten in two kings, one queen, and two double twin bedrooms. (There's a sofabed, too, for an extra guest.)
So it's great for large groups or multi-family use.
The house is child-friendly with a cot and high chair as well of stacks of toys and other distractions (the two living areas each have TV, DVD players, and video games).
Our cleaners prep the house with fresh linens before every visit and tidy up afterwards, so you can rest assured it's ready for you. We also provide a 24/7 number you can use to reach a local property manager in case of any emergencies.
The main kitchen (remodeled in 2007) has a microwave, large fridge/freezer, gas oven and grill, coffee maker, waffle iron, and enough utensils to satisfy a master chef. We even have recipe books in the library should you feel adventurous.
The house is just minutes from a well-stocked grocery/deli that opens 8am-8pm every day of the year, so you don't need to go far to hunt down dinner!
The dining table ordinarily seats up to eight but can be extended to seat 10. We have tableware for 18 people as well as loads of glasses and mugs. And yes, there is a dishwasher!
The hot tub on the deck holds eight and is wonderful after a hard day's skiing or boarding. (The cleaning fee includes spa top-up and maintenance after every rental.)
There's lots to do in nearby Wilmington and West Dover...
Year-round: Lots of dining, shopping, and sightseeing choices.
Winter: Skiing and boarding at Mount Snow; snowmobiles all around.
Summer: Several courses within a few minutes' drive, and the house is just minutes from watersports and the beach (!) at Lake Raponda. There's fishing, too, but get a permit.
For Mount Snow ski pass info and equipment rental rates, see MountSnow-(website hidden) (airbnb strips out links!). The mountain is just 10 minutes drive up Route 100.
We've owned this house since 2004 and we still use it regularly ourselves. Friends and family love visiting.
Come see for yourself!
Great house for 2 families (8 people). Convenient location 10 minutes from Mt Snow. Cute towns (Dover, Wilmington) very nearby. Responsive host. Kitchen stocked with plenty of supplies. Books and games around the house. Clean. Hot tub was a nice kicker. Fantastic snow in VT this year!
Great house for a ski trip! We had 10 people sleep comfortably in the house for 4 days. It was clean when we arrived with linens and towels provided. It sits on a very secluded spot of land and has a beautiful deck and hot tub. It's an easy 10 mins down route 100 to Mount Snow. Would definitely rent again!
This is the 3rd time my friends and I are staying at this house. We love it!
We usually go during October to catch the Oktoberfest and pretty leaves.
The house is huge and very practical. There are 2 very big rooms and a full bathroom upstairs, 2 rooms and a bathroom downstairs on the first floor and a massive living/bedroom/bathroom downstairs. Every room has its independent heating system which is really important. The kitchen is fully stacked with all the essentials and there is a big dining table so you can cook a big meal and enjoy a night in.The fireplace and the hot tub are the most popular features among my friends. If you want to be unsocial, the house has wifi as well. It comes in handy as the cell reception in the area is spotty.
The house is in Wilmington which is a cute little town and is pretty close to Bennington (gotta check out the village chocolate shoppe and the crazy russian girls bakery) and West Dover (good food at 1846 tavern) and Mount Snow. If you have kids (or animal lovers) in the group, check out the Adams Farm. If you like your wine, try the Honora Vineyards.
The owner is pretty laid back and he keeps the house well maintained and clean. In summary, we love this house and every trip we had there.
We were a group of 9 with a kid. Had a wonderful stay at Colin's place. The house is as shown in the pictures and very spacious and fully equiped. Location is great as the house is nicely surrounded by woods is also not too far from downton.
Colin was responsive and answered all questions promptly.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this listing
Nice house, with a warm and comfy countryside overall feeling, well appointed for families with babies/infants/children, plenty of toys and games.
Very nice and spacious upstairs bedrooms for adults, with gigantic beds (at least in european standards...). We didn't use at all the space located in the basement.
Around the house, the lawn is a nice place to be, it's neat and maintained, and there's always a sunny patch.
While it is secluded, the internet connection is top-class all around the house :)
Food advice : do not bring pasta, everyone left at least one unopened box of it.
Great house! 10 of us stayed there for Tough Mudder at mount snow in August and the yard was beautiful and lots of places to sleep 10 comfortably. Clean and easy to get to Mount Snow which is only 10 minutes away. Definitely recommend!
Had a fantastic weekend in this totally perfect house. Grownups i the lovely, giant upstairs bedrooms with comfortable kingsize beds; 5 kids downstairs in 2 nice, smaller bedrooms with 2 beds each and a crib; babysitter had her own suite in the basement.
And just a lovely, comfortable setup.
About 10 mins to Mt Snow, close enough we could shuttle kids back and forth and ski ourselves quite a bit.
Colin was easy and flexible and delivered on everything.
Just couldn't have been better.
The house was perfect just as listed.
A group of 10 of us went down for a ski weekend and there really was nothing more than we could have asked for. Colin was always super quick to respond to mails which was very helpful given the trickiness of setting up a group trip.
I'd definitely stay here again
We love this house! We have stayed here several times a year for many years. It's comfortable; there is lots of space; it's great for kids; and it's a great location, near Mount Snow. Highly recommend.
