A nice, elementary & cozy room under the roof of a unique 17th Century house, on a 200 meters walk from the center of Ghent.
Think wooden details, sleep, read, relax, quietness in the city, no television, wifi although, relaxing chair, an old stairs that cracks beneath your feet, a beautiful part of the city, a little river running next to the house, coffeebars, an indoor parking ("RAMEN") and public transport (tram) just around the corner, etc.
The attic is divided into a sleeping and a tiny 'read & relax' part (underneath the glass roof). There is also a rather basic bathroom (a toilet, a tiny bath -no shower!- and a sink) which has to be shared with the owners of the house.
There is a (small) double bed available (195cm x 135cm: for one who loves space at night or two that love each other), and an extra single mattress on demand.
The attic & the bathroom can be used freely.
If you need something extra, you can always ask, but the above description should be the minimum.
(Possibility to prepare a little breakfast in the kitchen, but please: ask in advance)
Right in the center but quiet!
Tram n°1 stops at the Ghent Castle: 'GRAVENSTEEN'-stop (5 min walk from there until home)
Vic's home is the perfect place you can find to visit Ghent: the house is clean and very nice, the bedroom is in a luminous and spacious attic whit a stunning view on the canals and the Gravensteen castle. Vic and Giulia are pleasant people to have a chat with! We strongly suggest their house as your first choice in Ghent.
We had a great time at Vic's house. He was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there.
Vic is really nice, and was very helpful with us. We spent a very good moment in his house! Everything was perfect! Thanks again!
Vic's house is fantastic! And Ghent is one of the best places to visit ever. Vic and his girlfriend are great people, very friendly and caring. Everything about the house is great: the attic, the view and perfect location for exploring the town. Thank you Vic, we were impressed by your house and vynil collection.
Vic is a great guest. I really enjoyed my stay in his wonderful and so central house!
He is a very good hoostess, I will seriously suggest as an arinb option in Gent
Thank you Vic for the nice stay at you place! The attic is a cosy place to spend the night. The house is located 2 minutes walk to the old city center, which is ideal. Vic was very helpful and available to answer our questions. I can recommend everybody to visit Gent for the weekend and stay at Vic's place.
I could go for the usual AirBnB blather. But all I need to say is this: Gent is GREAT, Vic is THE BEST, and his place is AMAZING. That's it!
I had a short one-night stay at Vic's apartment. Everything was very clean and tidy. Vic was really nice (I could even borrow his umbrella!) In the bathroom in no real shower, so prepare on taking an old school bath! The house is really beautiful and the location is also very nice.
Staying at home at Vic's is exactly that: staying at home. I could not have asked for a more convenient and generous accommodation in Gent. The room for the guests is sparsely furnished with all that one needs to rest and/or do some work, without any unnecessary clutter. The host is a cultivated, intelligent therapist and counsellor who will discreetly guide you through your questions and the canals of this beautiful town.
Thank you Vic.
