You can take lovely sea shore and river walks around to Cramond. Cramond Village and harbour have Roman Ruins and the earliest known site of human settlement in Scotland.

Juliet and Ian were very congenial hosts. They have a lovely home that is located about a 15 minute drive from the airport and a 20 to 25 minute bus ride from downtown Edinburgh. The bus stop is conveniently located a short two blocks away.
Our hosts were very helpful in making suggestions as to places to visit and giving directions as to how best to get there. They even provided us with their own maps of Scotland to use when traveling out of the city.
The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. There are two bedrooms that share a common bath in a separate wing of the home that has its own private entrance.
Our stay there was very enjoyable.
Juliet and her Family were very kind, friendly and helpful; they made me feel really welcome. The room was just as described and very comfortable in a nice House, good area and easy to get to from the city.
I am very thankful and I want to meet them again. Thank you very much
Great house, lovely people. Nice to be separate from the rest of house - own entrance and pretty much own bathroom. Very clean and tidy and very close to a bus that takes you direct to city. Also Tesco 2 secs away. Internet not great and a little difficult if you need to use it. Dog - very cute and sweet. Overall great.
This was the perfect place for me. I felt like I had my own private apartment. Juliet and Ian were great help in finding my way around. You only have to take one bus to get you into Edinburgh, but then you are out of the busyness of the city when you come back to their home. I would highly recommend their home.
I really enjoyed my stay at Juliet's. She accepted my request at relatively short notice and responded very quickly. When I arrived she was very welcoming. My heart was melted by their 6 month old Border Terrier puppy who I frankly wanted to keep.
Seriously though, as an experienced Airbnb host myself I am probably a tough critic and I have nothing but praise here. The room itself is lovely and fresh, with nice bedding and a very comfortable bed. For me it was such a treat to watch TV in bed! The other guest room was unoccupied which meant the bathroom to myself. Great shower too. There is also a cosy TV den above the guest rooms for Airbnb guests, with Netflix and Playstation if you prefer. As a solo guest I really appreciate Juliet's pricing per person. It made my stay incredibly good value. I travel alone quite a bit and often feel mildly resentful at paying the same for a room as two people. Thank you very much Juliet for a great stay.
Thanks for your lovely words. I really appreciate it, especially as you mentioned being a host yourself. I'm glad you had an enjoyable stay too and Thistle always appreciates a guest willing to indulge her in a bit of play, although if she eats any more skirting board you may well have a furry guest visiting you!
Juliet and Ian were very welcoming and the room was exactly as described. Internet didn't really work in the bedroom so couldn't do the work I needed in the evenings but I enjoyed my stay nonetheless. Great central place to get to all the places I was golfing.
Very enjoyable and peaceful stay in Edinburg. The place is quite calm and near the city centre. Our host was extremely kind, helpful and took care of us.
Best breakfast ever.
Nice dog too! :)
