  • Great apartment (2 bedrooms, one bathroom and then a main area including a tv, small kitchen, washer and dryer). Two beds and a futon can comfortably accommodate 6. There is also a comfortable couch. Overall, the apartment was very clean. The neighborhood feels very safe and is 3 minutes from the L train, which connects to every other subway line in Manhattan. There are tons of great restaurants and cheap bars in the area.

The host was very friendly, gracious and easy to communicate with. Check-in and out was a breeze; He was even able to accommodate us quickly when our travel plans were disrupted by weather.

The price was very reasonable, making our vacation very affordable when the apartment was shared with the six of us. Note that having one bathroom for six people may be an issue for your stay.

My only complaint: there was a very faint gas smell around the stove throughout the stay, even when the stove was off, I suspect there may be a slight leak behind the stove.

  • Abi was a great host, and his apartment is by far the best AirBnB place I've stayed in New York City. Clean, big, comfortable apartment in a great location. Abi was easy to communicate with and a genuinely nice guy. I highly recommend this place!

  • Abi accommodated us at his other location. The unit is clean and neat. It has three fully furnished bedroom with laundry on site. We love the place and enjoy our stay at the location.

  • The apartment was exactly as showed in the pictures and was clean, with a very good heating and some other facilities that makes you feel as at your home. The apartment is well located, at the first floor, and is close to the subway. Abi was very kind and reactive at our requests. Thanks to him. We have had a very good stay, despite the bad weather in this period (January 17th to February 9th). So, I strongly recommend this apartment, especially for family vacations.

  • Clean little place in east village. all amenities were there and working.

    January 2014
  • We enjoyed staying at Abi's wonderful location. the flat is not big but well arranged and very clean ; I must admit it can get a bit hot because it has a central heating and for some reason "the pipes" can be very noisy sometimes but the beds are very comfortable and we particularly appreciated having a dishwasher, a Washing machine, a tumble dryer and the wifi

I never had the chance to meet Abi but we kept in touch and he always responded quickly.

If you want to visit NYC from South to North and East to West, get yourself a metrocard, you'll be able to catch several buses or to take the train/underground very easily...
Taxis go past the street 24/24h and if you like walking in big cities you will definitely love the place ;-)
Moreover, the area itself is pleasant its very friendly and there's always something going on (bars, great restaurants and take aways/to go, cinema/theaters...)

  • All these positive comments may seem too good to be true...

But we did really enjoy staying at Abi's "wonderful location".

This is the place to be ! the flat is not big but cleverly arranged and very clean ; I must admit it's a bit hot though and for some reason "the pipes" can be very noisy sometimes (I once thought the neighbours were "banging" music in the middle of the night) but the beds are very comfortable and we particularly appreciated having a dishwasher, a Washing machine, a tumble dryer and the wifi

One thing though : you'll be disappointed if you plan to cook while you're there. The kitchen is very nice and well furnished considering its size but it's just not possible to do some serious cooking in it.
But honestly there is so much choice in the very close area as regards good restaurants and take-aways that it would really be a pity not to take advantage of them (special awards for the 24/24hr Ukrainian restaurant Vereska, the Greek Taverna Kyclades and the Vietnamese Sao Mai)

This was our 3rd visit to NEW YORK and we just loved staying there...

  • Great location in East Village. Just a block from the L train which connects to any other trains in the city. Clean apartment. The single flight up was a breeze. Big space for Manhattan - Plenty of sleeping space for 6 adults but the space is ideal for 4. The wifi stopped working but only needed to be disconnected and reconnected after just a few minutes. Much more room and privacy than a hotel. The apt was warm due to a single building thermostat but easily solved by opening windows and turning on the window units. A few bars in front of building but very quiet inside.

Host Abi was great. Always responded promptly to pre-arrival questions. Met us quickly to exchange keys. I'll recommend this apartment to anyone going to New York and look forward to booking next year.

  • This was a great apartment on a great location. Abi was a great host who met us outside the apartment and gave us a quick tour and answered questions about the area.
I can only recommend Abi and his apartment. I would/will definitely come back again.
