My house is a modern jewel complete with all new interior, large kitchen and brand new hot tub! It's surrounded by wonderful restaurants and a 15-minute bus or train ride downtown.
My newly renovated apartment is conveniently located where Bernal/Mission/Noe neighborhoods vibrantly meet. The two bay windows in the living room provide a stunning view of Sutro Tower on Twin Peaks and off the back deck the Bay Bridge shimmers in the distance. The J-train and Mission buses provide nearby public transportation and the immediate neighborhood is full of charm. There's a huge variety of ethnic restaurants - Indian, Latin, Middle Eastern, Thai, Vietnamese... you'll have them all in walking distance, plus a Safeway and several produce stands. Valencia St. shopping and all the hipness of the Mission is nearby. Downtown SF is just fifteen or twenty minutes away by car or bus and BART is a less than ten minute walk.
The spacious master bedroom features a luxurious queen bed with a plethora of pillows to choose from, huge shower with two shower heads, and extra closet and drawer space.
The private bedroom has the most comfortable bed you've ever slept in, an antique desk, a private exit to the back deck and plenty of closet space. The private bathroom has a shower, tub and mirrored vanity.
The house has surround sound speakers, central heating, all new appliances and a back deck with a grill and downstairs garden and newly installed HOT TUB! Tastefully furnished with oriental rugs and contemporary art, guitars on the walls, a piano, and comfortable furniture.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you, and if you've got any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I sometimes stay at a friend's apartment in the neighborhood, so I will often be around to check guests in, but I always respect my guests' privacy and will never come over without contacting you first.
There's plenty of public transportation just outside my door, including the 24, 14, and 49 bus lines downtown, to BART and to the Castro, Haight, and Nob Hill neighborhoods, as well as the J-Church MUNI light rail which runs past Dolores Park and eventually downtown underground.
There is also an attached garage with side-by-side parking that snugly fits a mid-sized sedan.
From the airport, I generally take a shared-ride van that costs $18 (full list at (website hidden)) For parties of three or more, a taxi cab makes more sense. BART is also possible, but the trip ends up taking about an hour and costs around $10.
This is a second floor unit, so treading lightly is encouraged to respect the downstairs neighbors. Smoking is okay on the back deck as long as voices are kept down at night. If you'd like to access the backyard garden and hot tub, please use the inside staircase rather than outdoor stairs.
We had an excellent stay in Daniel's home. He was very helpful and gave us great tips on local venues and restaurants. The community was great as well, and the very easy access to grocery stores and transit was a plus. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit San Francisco.
Daniel was really helpful! The communication was easy and straightforward. The place was very comfortable. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience staying in Daniel's home. During the entire process, Daniel was very prompt in responding to our questions and requests. The home is in a good location for accessing just about anything in San Francisco. The kitchen is well stocked. Just about any amenity that you would require is available (cookware, coffee pot, hair dryer, iron, etc). These are important because we've arrived at other airbnb homes that were missing these essential items. The only minor quibbles we had were that the internet was nonexistent for a portion of our stay, and the other times when it was working it was very slow. If I were to propose any improvements, I would ask that the bedrooms have ceiling fans installed and have a tv in a at least one of them (we can't sleep without tv). As the home shares a garage with the neighbor, it might be tricky to squeeze in anything other than a midsize or smaller car. However, we were made of that fact beforehand, so it wasn't an issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Daniel's home, and would use it again in the future without hesitation. Highly recommended.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Daniel's place was in a great location and very comfortable. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again!
As always we had a great stay in San Francisco. Daniels apartment was spacious and well stocked. The location was excellent in terms of transport the Muni, restaurants and shopping. Thanks Daniel for a very comfortable stay and the use of your lovely apartment. I would certainly recommend it to others as a place to stay in San Francisco.
We stayed in Daniel's apartment in San Francisco for 3 nights and loved every minute. The apartment was clean, well stocked and comfortably furnished, great bathrooms and washing facilities inside which was particularly handy. The location is close to public transport which we found to be the best way to get around. Would definitely stay here again.

I'm a professional upright bassist and 14-year San Francisco resident. I love playing jazz, Latin, classical, bluegrass, tango and much more. I perform almost every night of the week and have some part time teaching jobs to keep me busy during the day. In late 2011 I was able to buy a share of this wonderful two-unit building where I live in the upstairs 2-bed, 2-bath apartment. I've been spending more time away on the road with bands, so I'm happy to know the house is being filled by good energy. When I am in town I love having daytimes off and will often invite house guests along on morning walks, trips to the gym, and cooking experiments. I've added gardening, grilling, and hot tubbing to my home activities recently and find myself happier for it.
San Francisco is my ideal city - big but not sprawling, diverse and inviting. I hope you'll fall in love it with it like I have.
