Said was a great host and organised a taxi and key collection on arrival. (Taxi costs approx 200 dirham.) Communication was excellent. The apartment was as described. It is within a gated, secure, quiet, complex . It had good air conditioning which coped easily with temperatures of 47C. Wi fi was excellent. We ate in some of the time and the kitchen was well equipped. Within the complex are a couple of mini markets which sell most things. We made good use of the sun terrace which had great views-particularly when watching sheet lightening over the Atlas Mountains in the distance. There was a shower on the sun terrace and a parasol was provided as there is very little shade later in the day. We had use of the swimming pool which is located in the centre of the complex only 2 mins walk. The nearest larger supermarket is some distance away(approx 25 mins walk along main road ) but for 10-15 Dirham you can get a taxi there. Near to the supermarket was an ATM and we also bought a local sim for our spare phone (which they kindly set up for us)from a phone shop close to the supermarket. From the apartment you can walk to the entrance of the Medina in about 10 mins but it will take another 10-15 mins to get to the Souk. Small restaurants are plentiful. We were advised not to go with anyone who wanted to be our guide(unless they were official ones) but managed to negotiate the Medina using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps which although had the occasional blip, got us in and out of the narrow streets without too much trouble. I travelled with both my daughters age 25yrs and 28yrs and we all felt most comfortable wearing long trousers and covered shoulders, particularly as it was Ramadan. If visiting Morocco in Ramadan bear in mind that shops open late and close early. I would certainly recommend staying at Saids apartment- it felt spacious, clean and comfortable and if I were to visit Marrakech again I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Saïds Review Terrible experience for me and my friend. It started out ok, The Riad was nice enough it is in a quiet complex. Naima (who speaks no English or French) cooked for us on arrival we had to call Saïd about the price as it was not clear from his instructions and we paid Drh200 which we later saw on his page is more than he wrote and to add insult to injury the Tanjine was completely burnt and inedible. The riad was just outside the city walls and across a busy road this made it a fair walk to the main square and through what we thought to be not so nice areas (we being 2 ladies) we ended up getting Taxis back and forth, which is not so expensive I guess.  The problems started when Saïd wrote he was coming to the Riad on our 4th night of 5 night stay, we thought he was coming by to say hi and discuss the next days trip which he offered to take is on instead of a taxi. However he poured himself a drink then announced he was going to bed. We booked the entire place because we did not want to stay with strangers! It made us rather uncomfortable and there are no locks on the bedroom or bathroom doors! The next day we went as planned on our road trip, us paying the petrol and road tolls on the way. We did change destination after Saïd mentioned a nicer place. He left us to look around for a couple of hours and said he was going to the car?!?! Anyway we returned to the car and drove back to the riad. On arrival it was so hot we wanted to swim but when we got there the pool was closed and we had to return to the riad. We then decided to sit in the cool and watch some tv with a glass of wine. As we were getting settled Saïd stood up and started shouting at us about how rude we were not offering him a glass of wine and how he had taken time to take us on a road trip. We tried to apologise and offer him a wine but he just kept shouting at us about how rude we are. Feeling extremely uncomfortable and having my friend in tears we decided to book a hotel. Saïd had stormed out of the house in what can only be described as a huff so we packed our bags in 10 minutes and left. Leaving 3 times the money for the car rental we discovered and a note! DO NOT here unless you wish to be verbally abused! I am discussing the matter with Airbnb and hope he is removed from the site!

This was a great facility in a great location. It was close enough to walk to the Medina or get a taxi if needed. Once inside the gate there were restaurants, shops and even a pharmacy. A great experience.

We have so enjoyed our stay here. The riad was lovely and clean, beds were comfy and everything (pool/shops/city center) was in within walking distance. We booked a taxi through Said from the airport but had trouble being picked up. However Said was very quick to respond to the problem and helped us solve it effeciently. The house keeper was waiting for us at the gate which was very reassuring, and aside from at small language problem (she doesn't speak English) it was all very lovely. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to a friend! Thank you Said!
