Posting for my great two bedroom apartment that I rent out when I'm away traveling. One double and one single bedroom. For more reviews of the place see my other listing which is for just the single room here that I regularly rent out.
Amazing apartment in Little Italy and very close to Kensington Market, University of Toronto, Chinatown, the Annex, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Ossington strip etc -the location is the best! Right by the College St streetcar, ten min walk from Bathurst subway, and there are rental bikes nearby (these are great, you pay for a day and can take them and drop them off at stands all over the city). Steps away from great bars, restaurants, and at the end of my street is the BEST brunch place in the world ever -for vegetarians AND meat-eaters. Also great coffee places, gelato, a cinema (The Royal a second-run and indie/art house films), liquor store, convenience stores and a 24hr supermarket. All this, and yet it is just far enough up from College street that it feels like a quiet leafy neighborhood totally removed from the city.
One generous sized double room, and one small room with a single bed, linens and towels are provided. The apartment is cosy and bright, lots of books and art, a big living room, kitchen and a large back deck which is excellent in the summer. No smoking in the house, but on the deck is fine as long as you clear up the butts. High speed wifi, very effective air conditioning/heating, and a washing machine.
This is the same place as my other listing where I just rent out the small room while I'm there -you can see many more reviews of the place there.
Whole apartment, I'm gone travelling.
Interaction with Guests
If I'm still in town I will meet you to let you in, otherwise I'll arrange for a friend to greet you and to check you out.
It's Little Italy, but right next to Chinatown, Kensington Market and the Annex -all of which are great neighbourhoods with a lot of character and many great things to see and do.
On the Bathurst and the College Streetcar lines, ten minute walk to Bathurst subway station.
Other Things to Note
A dog usually lives here, obviously I will have thoroughly cleaned before you come, but if you are very severely allergic I suppose it could be an issue.
Respect the neighbours (it's a duplex, sound carries)...respect the place... I feel like it should go without saying.
We stayed with a party of 3 at Clare's appartement for 5 nights.
We were a little disappointed when we arrived for the following reasons:
Upon arrival the apt wasn't cleaned up. We found sticky stains on the coffee table, mold in the corners of the bathroom and (dog?) hair everywhere.
The kitchen towels were dirty. We washed them. The kitchen cabinet doorknobs were sticky, we cleaned them. Stuff was falling off the fridge, we rearranged it a bit so it would stay in place. The dirt on top of the fridge didn't give a really clean impression.
In addition the trash can was full. We were asked to empty it, which we did, twice. This gives us the feeling that we clean others people mess left behind.
A positive note: The apt is situated in a nice neighbourhood. And there's a lovely view on the CN tower from the terrace. Oh and there are cute squirrels running around the gardens.
i booked Clare apartment for my aunt and mum who went visiting me in Toronto while she was away.
Clare was very nice and showed me everything before her departure.
The apartment was great, cosy with good location and we enjoyed the patio to relax ourselves after a long day.
Clare's place is cute, well located and clean. Her friend was helpful in letting me in and I enjoyed my time.

I'm a photographer, artist and teacher, originally from Northern Ireland and living in Canada for the last ten years. I was in Toronto at first, Montreal for three years and now back in Toronto since three years. I'm calm and friendly, definitely not in-your -ace but totally up for chatting over a tea and giving or receiving traveling tips.
