Caronne was a great host, very helpful, and the place as describe in the ad. Very nice place, but minor shortage about WiFi connection, it doesn't work during our stay. The rest is great experience. Thanks Caronne.
Thank you for being friendly. I apologize on the connection issue. It was rectified by the service provider after you left the apartment( reason given by the provider-they were away for that 2 days)but its working fine now. Hope you manage to use the lobby foc wifi connection during that period. Thank you and hope to host you again in the near future.take care
I stayed in this place for 3 weeks and I have to admit that my overall experience was quite negative.
Room: Modern decoration, the photo is accurate. There were 2 major issues that turned my stay into a very unpleasent stay:
1) The shower: when you want to use hot water, the water pressure drops to a thin line. You just can't take a hot shower.
2) The smell: There was a constant horrible smell in the bathroom. Whatever I did, I couldn't manage to supress the smell.
Other than these two issues, many ants in the kitchen, a lot of personal belongings of the owner, not a very clean place.
Building: Not one of the high scales condos of KL. If this was a hotel, it would have been a 3-star.
Location: If you have a car or will use a taxi, the location is good although not ideal. Nowhere to walk from the place and not convenient for public transportation
Amenities: There is a laundry and a small grocery store. It makes the life easier to have it in the same building. There is a squash court if you're into it and a gym. The swimming pool is also not bad. Car park is very convenient.
Check-In: Caronne was not available so her husband helped out. Very welcoming and warm. I am not convinced that the place was properly cleaned. The fridge was full of things from the previous tennant.
Host: Caronne was responsive to my messages but not really very helpful to resolve the issues. I left the place earlier than planned (partly due to issues listed above) and she was not open to reimburse. I paid about a week without staying in the place.
I feel sorry that you had a bad experience staying in my humble studio. To begin with, the items that you've seen in the unit is all newly purchased for guests' convenience- they are not my personal belongings. I have all sorts of items prepared for guest from toiletries to kitchen utensils. I agree with you regarding the stench, but i tried fixing it in the past by getting a contractor and etc. During your stay, you replied me that it has improved. I have an air purifier and spray in the toilet to help with the stench, if any.
I send my cleaner over to clean the unit and i check the unit myself after the clean up everytime. As for the items in the fridge, what ever that is not edible will be thrown out during cleaning. There are liquor that's been opened but clean in the fridge for one's convenience. I'm sorry if you felt offended. There is a light rail transit( LRT) located behind the building. Besides that, a shopping mall is under refurbishment for now. It should be ready by 2015. There use to be many eateries and shops in the mall. I'm sorry that during your stay, its not available for your convenience.
I hope you understand that i cannot simply reimburse you on such short notice. I have turn down other potential guests due to your stay and its unfair for me. I have given you a rebate prior to confirmation and upon your confirmation on leaving earlier ( excuse given was that you had to leave to switzerland) i offered you 2 days free stay should you be back in town provided if the unit is vacant. Don't you think that's considerably fair to us both? But anyhow, thank you airbnb for giving me the chance to clarify the above. Thank you.
We've stayed for 1 month and a half in Caronne and Steven studio and it was just amazing. We felt very comfortable and the studio has a lot of charm. Everything is provided for you to feel at home and the residence has a supermarket and a laundry. All the more, the skypool is extraordinary. Caronne and her husband Steven were adorable, they gave us answers quickly enough to all our questions and our convenience.
Thanks you a lot for this experience Caronne and Steven !
I stayed for one month, Jun 29 ~ Jul 29. A month passed quickly recognize life seems to be comfortable during your stay as my house.
In particular, went down to the apartment G floor goes beyond to small hill in Putra station across the road that is most liked riding the train 3 stops to 1 ringgit was able to use the other train go in different directions just to go the Central K.L station
Thanks Caronne, and her husband!
We stayed in the studio apartment for a month in March 2014. We only have good things to say about Caronne. She took care of some small issues in the studio immediately (fixing the a/c & internet) and she also was very helpful when we accidentally lost the building keycard on a trip to Singapore. The studio is large and it does look exactly like the pictures. However, the building, Regalia, is inconveniently located and is showing lots of wear and tear for only being a few years old. We had a few days where only one elevator was working which is not pleasant when you are on the 29th floor. Also, the unit itself has some rather unpleasant aromas in the bathroom that come from the drains. Caronne had this looked at but it was not resolved. The smell is intermittent but can be very strong at times. Looking at reviews of Regalia on the internet the aroma seems to be a common building issue. In terms of the location, the building sits pretty much on a freeway and in order to walk to public trans (PWTC or Putra) you are walking on makeshift trails that are not lit at night or paved. We took taxis most places using the myteksi app on our phone which was good (and cheap) but sometimes the drivers had no idea where the building was located even with our map. That was a big problem with our taxi coming from the airport again even with a map since there are only two entrances to the building. At the airport the driver claimed he knew where the building was but that was clearly not the case since we spent an hour driving all around KL. Overall, we were not fans of KL and we were not used to highrise living so we know that is probably reflective in our review. Yes, the rooftop pool has stunning views and that is really the highlight of the building. The unit does not have extra towels for the pool - just an FYI. If you are staying long term bear in mind there is not much food or really anything within walking distance. You are limited to the small store in the building or you have to take a taxi out of the area.
Beautifully decorated apartment managed by a great host. Caronne enabled my last minute booking to go through smoothly without a glitch. Toiletries were well supplied as you would expect from a hotel. Pleasantly surprised by the abundance of kitchen utensils she left behind for her guests (I managed to prepare a 6-course meal!). Comfortable bed and couch, very spacious for a studio unit. A lovely experience overall.
Caronne's apartment is lovely! It is spacious, very nicely decorated and well appointed. Caronne was the perfect host. So friendly and informative. The apartment complex has many conveniences and great features, a mini mart, laundry, gym, children's playgrounds and fantastic pools, especially the horizon pool on the roof! Would have to be one of the best views of the KLCC! We got a taxi on the meter into the city for just 7 ringgit but also used the trains to Batu Caves and to Sentral. We highly recommend Caronne and her apartment for leisure or business travellers to Kuala Lumpur!
I'm a simple Malaysian-chinese woman who enjoys traveling, eating, shopping and properties. I am a Property Negotiator myself, and deal with primary and local markets most of the time. It makes it more fun for me to be able to post my lease on this amazing site - having to meet people from all walks of life and also to earn some extra income at the same time. It is purely killing 2 birds with one stone that makes it more interesting. I am pretty easy to get along, as long as it is within my comfort zone. Some people call me 'easy going' but to a certain limit and again within my comfort zone. I don't want to make myself sound too cheesy or flattering therefore, that's about it for now. Thank you for taking time to read this. :)
