Great hosts and a lovely space they offered! We enjoyed our stay very much. The whole level they offered was very well kept and comfortable.
I really had a good time in their house. They are both really nice people. I enjoy the pretty house. They are friendly and interesting, I think next time I will go back again and stay longer
Jerry and Aida are lovely hosts. They were friendly, welcoming, and great conversationalists when we wanted that. And the space is great: quiet, clean, and comfortable. My sister and I felt entirely at home.
Jerry and Aida were wonderful! They graciously accomodated us last minute, and were warm and welcoming. The bed is absolutely the most comfortable bed I have slept on, better than a hotel! The hot tub was just the right temp, and we enjoyed candid conversation over coffee and croissants. They were both very considerate of our privacy and the house was very clean and quiet, a great place to relax!
What a wonderfully quiet retreat!!! Jerry was very hospitable and we were able to rest very well while visiting Eugene. Their accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. Nicely accented, clean and comfortable environment. We didn't have much time to spend directly with Jerry and Aida because we were busy with our family from the time we got up until the time we laid our heads back down on the pillows, but Jerry and Aida provided exactly what we needed. Would definitely like to book again in the future.
Jerry and Aida were my first AirB&B hosts, and I hope every other experience will be as positive. Their home is lovely, clean and comfortable. The set up is wonderful for guests as they get to use the downstairs space which allows for complete privacy. The bed is very comfortable and the house quiet, I got two nights of great sleep (better than my previous weekend at the Best Western). Being that this was my first experience staying in a strangers home, I was hesitant but wanted to give it a try. Jerry and Aida are so nice, have great insight Eugene happenings and places to explore. To me they felt like instant friends (true Oregonians). While visiting Eugene over the last few years I have stayed in hotels, dorms and Capri apartments. I truly enjoyed the “Private Suite in Quiet Eugene Home” over the others. I recommend this B&B option!
Jerry & Aida were very hospitable and the communication was smooth. They responded in a very timely manner and were flexible with our check in. The home is in a very safe and lovely neighborhood surrounded with lots of greenery; a peaceful part of Eugene. Their home is extremely warm and inviting and the cleanliness was 5 stars! I traveled with two girlfriends and we all felt comfortable during our stay and at home in the entire lower level of their home. We were able to use the kitchen amenities as well which is a shared part of the home. Aida greeted us in the morning and had a light breakfast ready for us; fresh coffee, fruits, cereal and yogurt. It was perfect. Our only disappointment was that the hot tub that was advertised was not ready for our use. However when our hosts were told that that was our main draw to the bnb, they filled the tub and got it warmed up. We didn't get to use it that evening, however in the morning we had a nice soak and took in the beautiful scenery. We also noticed the password to the wifi was not on the host's website and we discovered the updated password in the bedroom on the desk later that night. Jerry & Aida provide lots of information about Eugene and events in town, which is great if you're new to the area.
Airbnb hosts since 2010, there's nothing we enjoy more than welcoming our many new friends and returning guests into our home.
A native Oregonian, Jerry has lived and worked in Eugene ever since moving from Portland to attend college. Junaida is from the Philippines where her family still lives and she maintains a home. Having worked for years in elder care, Junaida relaxes most often in her kitchen where she loves to cook and bake. Now a retired public school educator, Jerry stays active as a community volunteer, including a job as a volunteer scuba diver at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
We love returning 'home' to the Philippines to visit family (and scuba dive) as well exploring other tropical sites around the globe. During our travels, we've stayed in airbnb properties from San Francisco to New York, Saskatoon to Vancouver, and Hong Kong to Manila.
Our travel adventures are generally moderately budgeted so we can spend our resources playing and meeting people. This is why we appreciate airbnb. It's important to us to be thoughtful & conscientious guests when we travel and we attempt to be the same kind of hosts.
