We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at Jerry and Aida's home. The listing is accurate - it is a beautiful home in a quiet, beautiful part of Eugene (actually, the accommodations are better than described). Jerry and Aida made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We hope to have chance to return.
This was my second time staying at Jerry's house. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to visit with them. We arrived very late and when we left the next morning Jerry and Aida were out for the morning. Their home is very comfortable and welcoming. The accommodations private, spacious and very clean. I highly recommend their suite to anyone passing through Eugene. I hope to meet up with them next time. I intend to go back just to spend the weekend there relaxing, hopefully this time maybe visiting a little with them.
We had a great experience at Jerry and Aida's place. Jerry accommodated our late arrival and made us feel like their home was ours. Jerry was helpful and knowledge about travel and made recommendations for places to see and restaurants to eat at. Thanks again for a great time!
They were there when we arrived, suite was as des fined, but much larger than we expected
We were not feeling as social as usual but Aida and Jerry welcomed us in very graciously. They have a whole downstairs living room/bathroom and bedroom area for you downstairs. It was very spacious and cozy- an ideal set up for Air BnB in my opinion. Jerry had some really interesting experiences in his life and was doing some cool things. It made me get to thinking about myself and what my goals are.
Jerry & Aida were hospitable and warm. The place was beyond our expectations. The room was huge, pristine and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing.
Their neighbourhood is peaceful, quiet and safe. You're guaranteed a great's nights rest. They were very welcoming and generous with their home. Made sure we were all set and ensured that we had everything we needed to feel at home.
Wished we could have stayed more than one night! That hot tub looks so inviting.
If we were ever to head back that a way, we would definitely stay with them again.
Jerry and Aida were great hosts. They provided us with a lovely breakfast and we had some really enjoyable conversations with Jerry during our stay. The accommodation was homely, quiet and incredibly clean. We enjoyed using the hot tub which Jerry had kindly made ready for us on our arrival. The place had everything we needed and was in a beautiful location, surrounded by trees and tranquility. It was also situated within a close driving distance to excellent bars and shops in Eugene.
I would definitely recommend this place!
About the Host, Jerry/Aida
Airbnb hosts since 2010, there's nothing we enjoy more than welcoming our many new friends and returning guests into our home.
A native Oregonian, Jerry has lived and worked in Eugene ever since moving from Portland to attend college. Junaida is from the Philippines where her family still lives and she maintains a home. Having worked for years in elder care, Junaida relaxes most often in her kitchen where she loves to cook and bake. Now a retired public school educator, Jerry stays active as a community volunteer, including a job as a volunteer scuba diver at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
We love returning 'home' to the Philippines to visit family (and scuba dive) as well exploring other tropical sites around the globe. During our travels, we've stayed in airbnb properties from San Francisco to New York, Saskatoon to Vancouver, and Hong Kong to Manila.
Our travel adventures are generally moderately budgeted so we can spend our resources playing and meeting people. This is why we appreciate airbnb. It's important to us to be thoughtful & conscientious guests when we travel and we attempt to be the same kind of hosts.
