This was our final stop on our first airbnb trip and it was such a great experience. The description and pictures of the space are accurate, the space is excellent. The room and bathroom were spotless. Jerry & Aida were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Jerry took a few minutes to give my daughter some college advise since we were in town visiting the Oregon colleges. The space is amazing you have the lower level all to yourself and extremely comfortable. Coffee was ready when we went upstairs with fruit, cereal, and muffins to choose from. Would definitely stay here again!!
This was my first time using Airbnb on my own, and Jerry and Aida were very kind and welcoming. It was really nice to have some local interaction in Eugene, and they were also very respectful of privacy. The room was clean and quiet and their house is in a great location, and there was great coffee ready in the morning.
Located in a scenically wooded neighborhood this room was a perfect choice for our stay. Jerry and Adia’s home is impeccably organized and clean. The photos are accurate—we actually had more “private space” than I had expected: the blue room, the bathroom, and the family room with the brown sofa. All were located on the home’s lower level. The linens were plush and extra towels were made available (something I really appreciate). This was a perfect 1st-time Airbnb experience. Jerry and Adia thank-you for making us feel welcome!
Our host's, Jerry and Aida, were AMAZING!!! They welcomed their home to us with open arms. Every morning we woke up to fresh coffee and a great breakfast. They were both very forthcoming with any information on all our questions about the community and what to do. Every night we had great conversations about our daily adventures and about life in general. They really made it feel like home to us.
The community of Eugene is AMAZING!!! Everyone was very nice to us whenever we asked questions. (we are moving to Eugene in a year)
I cannot say enough nice things about our hosts. By staying with them, they made our vacation extremely comfortable and gave us great memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.
You cannot go wrong staying with Jerry and Aida. Everything about their home is perfect, especially them. We consider them family and miss them already!!!
I like to rate all my experiences (I work in customer service). Jerry and Aida get an A++++++++++ (if there was a better "grade", they would get it!)
Jerry and Aida are wonderful hosts. We felt very welcomed and cared for. It was more like staying in a very nice B&B opposed to a room in someone's home. Our suite of rooms was very generous especially for the price and the bonus of a "continental" breakfast complete with homemade banana bread was awesome! We highly recommend these generous accommodations with delightful host and hostess.
We were in Eugene for a very short time and Jerry and Aida's home exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless and they thought of every detail (hairdryer, coffee in the morning, parking in the carport, ect.). They had recommendations for dinner and where to explore in Eugene. I would HIGHLY recommend staying with them!!!
Jerry and Aida are wonderful hosts, making all of us feel comfortable. Their lovely home is in a neighborhood amidst towering trees and close to town. They welcomed us with open arms. We are grateful that our short visit to Eugene could be relaxed and beautiful. Their family pictures bring you right into their world. Thank you so much Jerry and Aida!
About the Host, Jerry/Aida
Airbnb hosts since 2010, there's nothing we enjoy more than welcoming our many new friends and returning guests into our home.
A native Oregonian, Jerry has lived and worked in Eugene ever since moving from Portland to attend college. Junaida is from the Philippines where her family still lives and she maintains a home. Having worked for years in elder care, Junaida relaxes most often in her kitchen where she loves to cook and bake. Now a retired public school educator, Jerry stays active as a community volunteer, including a job as a volunteer scuba diver at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
We love returning 'home' to the Philippines to visit family (and scuba dive) as well exploring other tropical sites around the globe. During our travels, we've stayed in airbnb properties from San Francisco to New York, Saskatoon to Vancouver, and Hong Kong to Manila.
Our travel adventures are generally moderately budgeted so we can spend our resources playing and meeting people. This is why we appreciate airbnb. It's important to us to be thoughtful & conscientious guests when we travel and we attempt to be the same kind of hosts.
