The location of the place was perfect. Very close to the center of Shopping area.
Only one big problem was that we had no water supply for almost entire stay. No shower at all and could not flush the toilet after use.. It was very stressful. Even though the host had tried to help us and kept the water in buckets in the bathroom but we could not use the water for washing body but we were too afraid to use them.
We were paying pretty high price for the place for local standard, we could've stayed at middle class hotel without worrying about water supply but we decided to stay there because there was kitchen, refrigerators and washing machine. Being able to use washing machine was very helpful this was also one of the stressful issue. Without enough water supply in the building, the one washing takes 5 hrs to be completed... Some time it stops in the middle of washing as there was no water... So we were not sure the price we paid for this place actually worth it after all.
We really enjoyed our stay at Nimesh's place. Nimesh greeted us when we arrived and gave us a very thorough tour of the apartment, which was helpful. There were three of us, so the spaciousness of the apartment was a great feature. We were working on projects while there, and the living room provided a nice retreat for us to lounge in the cool air conditioning after a hot day, and spread out while working on our computers. Also, the dishwasher and laundry washing machine were useful (a rarity in Mumbai). The location was super - there's a great sushi restaurant up Linking Road street called Joss, a pub with a variety of beers nearby, and tons of little stores near to the apartment that sell ice cream, snacks and cold drinks. It's a great deal for your money in one of Mumbai's nicest neighborhoods. We'd be happy to rent Nimesh's place again!
Our stay was for 9 nights; we were just two older women from the UK occupying the very spacious 2 bedroom apartment, so it gave us more than we needed with a kitchen well equipped to cater and provide for a family.
The location was excellent for our needs; very easy for travel communications and in a good area. The only slight downside is that it is on the flight path and if you are sensitive to noise it could wake you when the many early hours take-offs to UK Europe and USA leave.
Another slight downside and warning for 'Westerners' who like their softer beds, it has the traditional hard mattresses that Indians like.
Nimesh was very friendly and attentive and kindly provided us with an Indian SIM card with credit and phone for local calls, as there was no landline use in the apt. We really enjoyed staying there, felt very safe and it soon felt like home.
Clean, comfortable residence as depicted in the images;constant contact with owner;courteous disposition on arrival
Nimesh was an excellent host! He made sure to greet and welcome us in on upon check-in, gave us a tour of the apartment and its facilities, and even included some snacks to make us feel comfortable. The apartment itself was very clean and as depicted in the photos. It was very bright and surprisingly quiet given the proximity to one of Mumbai's main roads. Also, having a fully functional washer and dryer in the apartment was a godsend.
Nimesh made us feel very welcome. He provided a number we could call to get directions when we were in the taxi on the way from the airport. Within a short time of arriving at the apartment he stopped by to say hello and explained all the features of the apartment and answered our questions. There was coffee, tea, filtered water, juice, and snacks for our use as well as clean towels and toiletries in each bathroom. Nimesh helped us figure out the wife and cable TV. My in-laws are particularly high maintenance and he made time for all their questions. Overall the apartments was very comfortable. The location was very central and the neighborhood was clean and safe. I would highly recommend this as an option for anyone traveling to Mumbai.
