A treehouse, sixty feet up. Cross a one-hundred-foot rope bridge into the canopy — five white oaks hold the structure, cathedral windows hold the forest. Hand-built in 2023. Private sky deck with a stone oven and a one-hundred-inch projector. Forty-two acres of Southern Appalachian cove forest, one hour north of Atlanta and twelve minutes from Dahlonega.

The space
Hand-built in 2023 on forty-two acres of Southern Appalachian cove forest. The treehouse is suspended sixty feet up, cradled by five white oaks. The approach is a one-hundred-foot rope bridge — not a feature to photograph, a threshold to cross. Cathedral windows on three sides. The forest comes inside. From the sky deck, watch for deer, hawks, and fox moving through the cove below. A mountain creek cuts through the property with cascading falls, running down to the Chestatee River — you'll hear it from bed.

The Build:

Queen bed with ultra-soft linens

Premium inflatable mattress available as an extra bed for families

Full bathroom with waterfall shower and hot water

Private sky deck with stone oven (fresh dough provided)

One-hundred-inch outdoor projector for the deck
Coffee setup and drinking water

Indoor fireplace (October through April)

Climate-appropriate bedding for the 1,470-foot elevation

The Property:

Forty-two private acres of cove forest — creek, cascading falls, and quiet to explore

Lake Zwerner seven minutes away — three-mile trail loops the water
One hour north of Atlanta on GA-400

Twelve minutes from Dahlonega wineries and town square

The Area:

Whitewater kayaking on the Chestatee River, minutes from the property

Over a dozen wineries within a short drive

Historic Dahlonega town square, twelve minutes

Lake Zwerner for swimming, paddling, and the three-mile loop trail

Built for couples. Families are welcome just the same — we have two girls of our own.

Guest access
Exclusive access to the treehouse, the sky deck, and the surrounding forty-two acres. Self-check-in via keyless entry — detailed directions and instructions are sent the week of arrival.

Other things to note
Getting here: One hour north of Atlanta, twelve minutes from downtown Dahlonega. The last stretch is a private gravel road — any vehicle handles it. Detailed directions sent the week of arrival.

The bridge: The one-hundred-foot rope bridge is the way in. It's stable and engineered for safety, but it moves — that's the point of it.

The forest: This is a working piece of cove forest. You'll share it with deer, fox, hawks, owls, and in spring, the occasional black bear passing through. All wildlife gives the treehouse a wide berth — sixty feet up is above their world.

Liability waiver: Every guest signs a short waiver before check-in. Takes one minute, protects both of us.

Photography: Professional shoots are welcome with advance notice.
