Conveniently located, our apartment is close to the French Quarter and Marigny, as well as the Fairgrounds, City Park and Bayou St. John. With free bikes, parking, and a sunny and secluded backyard this is the perfect vacation rental for you!

The Space

Just a stones throw to all the best and happening neighborhoods and attractions, a quick bike ride (or lovely walk under beautiful Oak trees) will get you to the French Quarter, Fairgrounds, Bywater, Marigny, City Park, and Bayou St. John.

The apartment comes with parking, private entrance, bedroom, bathroom, and living space (which if you have 3-4 guests would be the 2nd bedroom with a comfy fold-up cot).

Amenities include a coffee pot & grounds, hot water kettle, toaster, a mini fridge, complimentary snacks, toiletries, board games, books, three bicycles, and an AM/FM radio always tuned to New Orleans' own WWOZ!

Nearby attractions include New Orleans Museum of Art, City Park, the Fairgrounds Racetrack, Dooky Chase's Restaurant, Ernie K-Doe's Mother-in-Law Lounge, St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, and all things French, including Frenchmens Street, the French Market and, the French Quarter.

Guest Access

Bikes! Backyard Patio! Fire pit (in the colder months)!

Interaction with Guests

The space is totally private with its own enterance from the backyard. However, we are here to say hi, chat, or help with recommendations should you need anything.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is the best! It is quiet and residential but close to everything. Furthermore, it is home to many Mardi Gras Indians, second lines, and real New Orleans culture.

Getting around

While the bus stop is one block away, we recommend taking advantage of our bikes or enjoying the beautiful scenery on your two feet.

At night biking is safe, but if you have been drinking or are not great with directions I recommend just taking a cab.

Other Things to Note

WiFi! There is WiFi set up in the home which you are free to use. However, with the range of devices that are out there, it works for some better than others. We have done all we can to provide this amenity other than getting a separate account and router just for the apartment. Which would cost us beaucoup bucks, and inherently raise the price of the space. Basically it should work, but we are always happy to help you trouble shoot it or look up something for you if needed.

  • This. space. is. awesome.

The space was very clean, has tons of character and Molly and Prescott were great hosts.

The pictures really don't do justice to this beautiful apartment. It's filled with well curated pieces of artwork and beautiful vintage pieces. I felt very cozy and right at home as soon as I arrived and my friend also fell in love with the space immediately when she arrived.

The home is located in a quite neighborhood. It's about a 1/2 walk from the French Quarter, but there's a bus stop about 1 block away from the apartment that can get you to the French Quarter in about 10 minutes or you can use the bikes that come along with the rental to get around town. They also have an awesome backyard area, which my friend and I used to dine two of the nights we were there.

Molly and Prescott are very detailed oriented and welcoming. They provide an info card for the guests listing their favorite NOLA restaurants as well as other helpful tidbits of info for visitors.

If I ever go back to NOLA I'll definitely rent this space again.

  • We had the time of our lives at Molly and Prescott's BEAUTIFUL home. New Orleans was like a dream and our favourite stop on our road trip across the USA. Molly and Prescott were super attentive and professional - we even had some snacks upon arrival! The house is insanely gorgeous and clean - in a neighborhood with classic NOLA character. I am recommending to everyone I know!! Thank you!! <3

  • We stayed for four nights, travelling with our 24 years old son, and had a very pleasant stay. Since Molly and Prescott were on holidays themselves, we did not meet them, but Mary's father stayed there, offering his help, if we needed anything. The apartment is as nice as it looks like; it is fun & cozy, and with a spacey backyard. We enjoyed riding the bikes to downtown and around. The neighborhood looks a bit rough, as they also describe in their ad, but we had no negative experiences.

    Response from Molly + Prescott:

Thank you for this very lovely review!

In New Orleans looks of neighborhoods can be quite varied and change quickly from one street to the next. I can assure you though that our neighborhood is very safe. In fact some of the nicest 'looking' neighborhoods are the ones with highest crime rates.

  • Had a great time in the trendy apartment! Walking/biking distance to the French Quarter and the best Poboy in the city! The apartment was comfortable and nicely appointed the hosts were gracious and outgoing. I'll be heading back as soon as possible!

  • My friend and I stayed for three days in Prescott and Molly's lovely place. We had a wonderful time in NOLA, and most of it was attributed to the great location, amenities, beds, and little attention to details (especially the kitchenette cupboard and bathroom necessities!). We were a bit hesitant about the bikes at first but they turned out to be a great assett to visiting the nearby neighborhoods. All the best places were accessible by a nice walk or short bike ride, except the garden district (though the transit system is easy to navigate and there's a bus stop at the corner of the street). Prescott and Molly had great travel guides laying around, and their place is gorgeously decorated. We didn't have the chance to meet Molly, but Prescott was extremely nice and approachable, and their two dogs were adorable. Do yourself a favor and book with them!
Nitpicks: the cold water faucet in the bathroom was broken when we stayed, and the internet was pretty spotty; overall though, a great vacation!

  • Staying with Molly & Prescott was an absolute pleasure. They were very easy to communicate with and were especially accommodating given that we didn't arrive till after 10pm any they had everything ready and waiting for us including a note, some late night snacks, local beers & water.

The room we rented had its own entry and you could spend the whole time without meeting Molly & Prescott but we really enjoyed introducing ourselves, getting recommendations and meeting their lovely 2 dogs. There is so much space between the rooms and there is a massive backyard! Getting to Frenchman Street and Burbon Street is very convenient, there is a bus or you can walk.

We loved our stay in New Orleans, so if we visit again we would definitely stay here!

  • We had the best time in New Orleans and it was made even more special by staying at Molly & Prescott's sweet place. It was super clean and comfortable, and the quirky touches here and there felt like home. The bikes were an awesome addition and meant that we could see much more of New Orleans than by foot. We rode. Everywhere. It's only a short ride to the quarter and Marigny, 10mins or so.

Molly and Prescott are so sweet and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and giving some great recommendations for nearby eats/drinks.

    We'd definitely stay here again!

  • This back of house annexe was set in the grounds of a beautiful house and backed onto a spacious yard. Molly and Prescott were great, very helpful and pleasant and the accommodation was very comfortable. I loved the furnishings, decor and small detail.

We were also able to make good use of the bikes provided for our use. As we were visiting for Jazz Fest the location was ideal, with both the fairgrounds and the main part of the French Quarter just 10-15 minutes cycle ride in either direction. There were plenty of restaurants around to sample the local cuisine, plus some handy stores closeby for general stuff. Recommended.
