Lovely 2 acre 1920 craftsman home three miles from downtown. Very large guest room with private outside entrance.

The space

Large, high-ceiling room in a 1920's Olympia WA home on 2 acres. Guest room has private use of the downstairs bathroom with shower. Private outside entrance and queen sized bed. One dog guest ($10 charge per night per pet as an extra guest) is acceptable if you message and ask first.

Enjoy the bounty from our garden and chickens. You will have access to living areas along with field and outdoor areas to explore. Our home is only 3 miles from hipster downtown Olympia and puget sound, but in a semi-rural area. Area attractions include a neighboring U-pick blueberry farm in season. There is a small neighborhood park within walking distance and several nearby larger city parks with nice hiking trails. A local bus line is available a half mile from our home.

Oly is located within 2 hours of Rainier and Olympic National Parks and the Pacific coast.Hosts Paul and Sara are engaged in the local Olympia community and can help direct you to activities, arts, and outdoor opportunities. We love to cook and make our own wine and ale among other items.

We are open to longer stays at a negotiated rate and have extra bedroom for longer guests.

Allergy Alert:
We have med/small Dog and a Cat, although they do not have regular access to the guest room.
Also, the dog although harmless does tend to greet newcomers wtih some wary barking so this may be a factor if you are not an animal lover.

Such a beautiful and unique home filled with lively art. Paul and his family were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The house is close to downtown but hidden away in a quiet neighborhood; also close to many trails and Priest Point Park which was a huge plus!

I know that five star reviews are common, but this place is •super• legit. Because: Art + Pool Table. AND: Great bed, great shower, and of course the pool table in the bedroom. Stay here. ALSO: Be sure to hit the "Budd Bay Cafe" for breakfast the next morning.

Paul and Sara's home is perfect for guests that want to stay in a country setting. I stayed for a long weekend and was so impressed by how many things they accomplished-even after enjoying a leisurely morning over breakfast - canning projects, drying projects, art projects, amazing meals. It was a treat to stay there and I appreciated all I learned about them and their place in the community of Olympia.

Paul’s place is amazing. The home is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor is amazing and delightful! Everywhere you look is a piece of wonderful fun and interesting art. It was such a treat to stay there that we’d like to return to Olympia just to stay in his space again. Our room was great. Huge, lots of windows and light, a comfy bed and pool table. We stayed up late playing pool and that was fun! They both were very kind, generous and helpful. I highly recommend this jewel of a spot!
