About this listing
Large, high-ceiling room in a 1920's Olympia WA home on 2 acres. Guest room has private use of the downstairs bathroom with shower. New queen sized bed.
Enjoy the bounty from our garden and chickens. You will have access to hot tub and living areas along with field and outdoor areas to explore. Our home is only 3 miles from hipster downtown Olympia and puget sound, but in a semi-rural area. Area attractions include a neighboring U-pick blueberry farm in season. There is a small neighborhood park within walking distance and several nearby larger city parks with nice hiking trails. A local bus line is available a half mile from our home.
Oly is located within 2 hours of Rainier and Olympic National Parks and the Pacific coast.Hosts Paul and Sara are engaged in the local Olympia community and can help direct you to activities, arts, and outdoor opportunities. We love to cook and make our own wine and ale among other items.
We have med/small Dog and a Cat, although they do not have regular access to the guest room.
Also, the dog although harmless does tend to greet newcomers wtih some wary barking so this may be a factor if you are not an animal lover.

Paul was a good host. He shared some of his delicious homveryebrew with me when i arrived and told me about the area. I didnt see them much because i was out exploring the city most of my stay but it was a very unique house with a lot of cool books to enjoy.
Great space for my son and I to relax & sleep well in while moving him out to TESC. It's very quiet and the bed is comfortable. Would have enjoyed outdoor areas if we had more time. Home is beautiful and fun--Sara and Paul are nice hosts too and we loved playing and laughing with Oliver, the kitty.
We had a wonderful time staying with Paul and Sarah. The house and yard are super artsy and inviting, a colorful slice of heaven. The bedroom is very bright and cheerful, with a comfortable bed. Their place was a perfect retreat as we were coming from the craziness of the big city.
We really enjoyed chatting with Paul and Sarah. They're a smart, fun couple who are knowledgable in lots of interesting areas. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend their place to others.
This is a wonderful place. The pictures give some idea of the level of artistic love that has been put into this home, but you have to spend some time there to get it more fully. The inside of the house and the yard are both filled with delights, from the dragon above the pool table to the metalwork on the garden gate and the fire pit in the yard. On the practical side, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and the kitchen was fun to work in.
Communications with Sara and Paul were easy throughout the process. We didn't get to meet Paul, but Sara was easy and fun to be with.
We have stayed at several AirBnB places, in this country and abroad, and in none of them did we feel more at home than we did here. We are looking forward to staying here again.
Airbnb at its best! We had a delightful stay in Paul and Sara's magical home. The room was large and bright with cozy bed and the whole home was full of art, joy and whimsy. Paul and Sara were welcoming hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them a bit. Hope to come back on another visit.
This was an ideal space for a quick stopover on a recent road trip. Paul and his wife were warm and welcoming, and very generous with the well-stocked kitchen and their great garden. The comfy bed in a big bright room was perfect after a full day of driving.
Unfortunately though we were unable to have a hot shower. We were warned that the hot water takes a while to kick in, but after standing in the shower for 10 minutes it was still ice cold. Other than that though it was a perfect stay.
A wondeful, open and friendly couple. A palatial room, complete with pool table, a friendly dog with personality, and a great location make this the perfect place to stay.
Thank you to both Paul and Sarah for everything
