Description

The space

Large, high-ceiling room in a 1920's Olympia WA home on 2 acres. Guest room has private use of the downstairs bathroom with shower. New queen sized bed. One dog guest ($10 charge per night as a 3rd guest) is acceptable if you message and ask first.

Enjoy the bounty from our garden and chickens. You will have access to living areas along with field and outdoor areas to explore. Our home is only 3 miles from hipster downtown Olympia and puget sound, but in a semi-rural area. Area attractions include a neighboring U-pick blueberry farm in season. There is a small neighborhood park within walking distance and several nearby larger city parks with nice hiking trails. A local bus line is available a half mile from our home.

Oly is located within 2 hours of Rainier and Olympic National Parks and the Pacific coast.Hosts Paul and Sara are engaged in the local Olympia community and can help direct you to activities, arts, and outdoor opportunities. We love to cook and make our own wine and ale among other items.

We are open to longer stays at a negotiated rate and have extra bedroom for longer guests.

Allergy Alert:
We have med/small Dog and a Cat, although they do not have regular access to the guest room.
Also, the dog although harmless does tend to greet newcomers wtih some wary barking so this may be a factor if you are not an animal lover.

Guest access

Kitchen, living and dining rooms; outdoor cabana and fire pit.

Interaction with guests

We are friendly and engaging as well as busy. You are on you own with meals and have full run of the kitchen. We will invite you to join us for meals and gatherings when occurring.

Getting around

Yes - a bus line nearby (quarter mile walk); best to have a car for our location

Other things to note

On week day arrivals, we generally seek an after 5 pm ETA

Paul's home is a living piece of art that fuels creative inspiration. A very clean, comfortable, and inviting space with curtious hosts, including a very sweet dog. Close to restaurants/shops, but also perfectly tucked away behind the beautiful trees. We sincerely enjoyed the time spent there. ...Oh and several recluse cute cats:)

Felt very welcome with Paul and Sarah on my stay. Their home is covered in art which is very inspiring. Very sweet and interesting people. The room was very private with its own entrance and very clean.

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay with Paul and Sarah at their farmhouse in Olympia. They were both very welcoming and we had great conversation. Our room was super comfortable and his collection of art, music and books is fabulous. We didn't miss TV at all. I highly recommend visiting the farmhouse. It won't disappoint.
