Enjoy the bounty from our garden and chickens. You will have access to hot tub and living areas along with field and outdoor areas to explore. Our home is only 3 miles from hipster downtown Olympia and puget sound, but in a semi-rural area. Area attractions include a neighboring U-pick blueberry farm in season. There is a small neighborhood park within walking distance and several nearby larger city parks with nice hiking trails. A local bus line is available a half mile from our home.
Oly is located within 2 hours of Rainier and Olympic National Parks and the Pacific coast.Hosts Paul and Sara are engaged in the local Olympia community and can help direct you to activities, arts, and outdoor opportunities. We love to cook and make our own wine and ale among other items.
We have med/small Dog and a Cat, although they do not have regular access to the guest room.
Also, the dog although harmless does tend to greet newcomers wtih some wary barking so this may be a factor if you are not an animal lover.

This is a wonderfully charming spot to stay in Olympia. Paul and Sara have a beautifully decorated, quiet house with a comfortable bed and a private guest entrance. It's convenient to a bus stop and optimal for rural bike tours. A very relaxing stay, combining the best of the city and the countryside.
We got in later than expected, but Paul and Sara were very accommodating. We loved having breakfast in the garden by the campfire! We were invited to a graduation party they hosted, and sincerely enjoyed meeting their friends. It's always fun to see the artwork all around!
The photos don't do it justice! The house itself is an artwork made of artworks, somehow both stimulating and relaxing at the same time. Paul and Sara were very friendly, and were able to recommend us some good restaurants in downtown Olympia. The neighborhood was full of trees, and blissfully quiet. Highly recommended!
Paul's place was awesome! We were looking for a place to stay before our day at Olympic Park and this was wonderful. Our hosts were very friendly and made us feel like we were home. If you like neutral/clean looking accommodations this is not a place for you, there is a little art treasure at every corner of this house making it very special and definitely a true Airbnb experience.

Paul and Sara and Vinnie (their dog) make us feel right at home. The description of their home was just as they said - great older artistic home with beautiful green acreage and garden. Great outdoor spaces for sitting and eating. Really close to downtown. Vinnie got along well with our dog. The room we stayed in was huge and the bed was really comfortable. We had plenty of privacy during our week stay as well as some really great social time with Paul and Sara.
We had a wonderful time! Paul took us in as the last minute contact out of the kindness of his heart. The house and room were so comfortable and the back yard was amazing. Grape vines, sculptures, chickens, gardens. The great part was our dogs got along! Thank you Paul!
