A short walk to the metro and a few blocks away to great restaurants. Highly recommended. I will stay again.

Though the bed messed with my back a good bit, Caroline was a fantastic host who was highly-communicative and made both check-in and check-out very easy!!

Caroline was a wonderful host. My friend and I were so fortunate to have gotten to stay with her and chat with her. Plus her super cute cat! Caroline was very accommodating! Thank you so much for everything!

Caroline and her place are absolutely fantastic! She has some awesome tips about what to do in the city. Her kitty Amelia is also pretty great.

Absolutely the worst stay in my Airbnb travels. Caroline demanded I checkout at 8am when it was clearly stated it was 11am. When I brought up the stated checkout time, she became irate and eventually demanded that I leave her house. Everything is someone else's fault. Stay awa…

Response from Caroline:
I have shared my home in New York City through Airbnb since 2013 and have never had to involve police or ask a guest to leave until I hosted Timothy. The trouble began when I asked if he could check out at 9:30AM instead of 10AM. I explained that I had a guest coming in from California on a red-eye and was trying to prepare the room early so that she could sleep. It was a special circumstance and normally I would gladly accommodate him until 10, but unfortunately, I just couldn’t this time. Timothy initially agreed but appeared visibly irritated. Minutes after our first conversation, he came flying out of his room, arguing with me vigorously about the requirements of his schedule and his rights as a guest. I found it strange that a man his age – late 30s to early 40s – would get so upset over 30 minutes. My check-in/check-out policies are flexible and I’ve never run into issues with other guests over similar requests. As the conversation escalated, however, I realized I wasn’t dealing with a normal guest. In fact, I was starting to realize that I could be in a very dangerous situation: Timothy is 6’-4”, easily 220lbs. I am 5’-6”, 140lbs, female. I’m athletic but no match for a man that size should he choose to get violent. I was somehow able to convince him to leave in exchange for a refund of that night. He disengaged while I got on the phone with Airbnb, though I was also texting my friend to be ready to call the police on my signal. While I was working out details, things got weird: First, Timothy went into my bathroom and took a shower. Then, he locked himself in his room and started sending threats over Airbnb messenger: “You've got 10 minutes to produce an updated reservation... Otherwise I'll be out of here at 11am as stated on your checkout.” “Airbnb hasn't sent me a message or called me.” When he did finally receive a confirmation, he got his stuff and left but cursed me out on the way: “Fuck you you little bitch.” Then he sent more messages on Airbnb messenger, well after he had left: “You’re a real piece of shit for doing this.” “Manage your life and stop pushing your problems on to other people. Something tells me you do that often.” When I went into his room, I found my keys, some trash, and a package of feminine intimate lubricant. What is a man traveling alone doing with that? Thinking about it now, I should have just called the cops. People like Timothy pose a danger to other hosts and guests. They do not belong on Airbnb and I'm working to get him banned.
