The pool house right behind the main house separated by the pool. This is a complete home. It has 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, a full size comfy futon, a small kitchen, a bathroom and an open area, with all sliding glass doors open to the pool.
We offer a truly unique experience. We are a different type of bed and breakfast. Whether you are in the main house, pool house or RV everyone has breakfast together this is a bed & breakfast, family style. I talk more about that after I explain all the sleep arrangements available. Also keep in mind that most people enjoy cooking either on the Ducane grill or in the main kitchen that has every possible spice you can image. I am going to explain the whole house to you, so you understand this incredible ranch.

First there is the main house. In the main house there are 2 bedrooms that are available, The Everglades Room and The Sunflower Room, both with full beds, and a shared bathroom.
Then there is a pool house right behind the main house separated by the pool, of course. The pool house is a complete home. It has 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, a full size comfy futon, a small kitchen, a bathroom and an open area, with all sliders open to the pool.
Behind the pool house is Vintage Row. We have 5 Vintage aircraft inspired trailers. The trailers range in date from the year 1955 to the year 1977. Let’s go through them 1 at a time. Keep in mind that these are Vintage meaning that there are lots of original parts some over 50 years old. We have tried very hard to keep this original with original parts.
1. 1969 Airstream International. This Aluminum bodied caravan has an Italian Designer Futon that turns into a full bed, 2 twin beds, a bathroom, a small refrigerator and an outside shower.
2. 1955 Airstream. We call this one the honeymoon suite. This one is very unique, has a custom made King size 12 inch memory foam bed that takes up all the back of the trailer, front toilet, sink on the back of the toilet bowl so no water is wasted, a custom queen-ish bed, a small refrigerator and an outdoor shower.
3. 1970 Avion has a RV kitchen, 2 twin beds and front dining table that turns into a queen bed, and full bathroom, but the shower is tiny and the outdoor showers are super. Even with the kitchen most people prefer to cook in the main house due to space.
4. 1977 Avion has a RV Kitchen, 2 twins with Memory Foam Mattresses and a Futon that turns into a full bed and complete bath. Same as above Small kitchen and small shower. Look at the pictures to understand the layout.
5. 1976 Airstream This is a very fun Airstream. It sleeps 6. There is a queen bed, a full bed and 2 twins. There is an outdoor covered space that has a private bathroom and shower, refrigerator and seating.
We served an incredible breakfast, mostly from our own garden. Farm Fresh Organic Eggs, Papaya, Star fruit, Bananas, Mango, Pineapples, Coconut, Avocado, Tomato’s, Dragon Fruit, Peach, Leeches, Passion Fruit, Jack Fruit and Loquat. That is not complete, but it is seasonal, if it is in season you will be served it by the resident private executive Chef Glen. We are trying to living “off the land”. We raise chicken and rabbits also. You get to explore all the plants.
Evenings are the perfect time to soak in the hot tub, swim in the pool or sit around the outdoor table in the middle of both and enjoy a drink and great conversation. Since we are away from the "city" we can see the stars clearly. We also get notifications from NASA regarding the space stations path and often times it is clearly viewable from our yard. A game of Horseshoes or Croquet is a welcoming challenge. On colder evening a bonfire is a great addition to the peacefulness of our surroundings. We live in paradise and would love to share with you and your family. We would like to welcome you to the good life.
To see the different listing look under our picture there is a “my other listings” to see the other areas. We can host 28 people with the different accommodations. Our beds sleep 2.
We are located close to the Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, Schnebly Redland's Winery & Brewery, Coral Castle, Fruit & Spice Park, RF Orchids and we are only 24 miles from Key Largo.
Redland, sometimes pluralized The Redlands, is an agricultural community in metropolitan Miami, Florida, United States, about 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Downtown Miami. Many farms, original clapboard homes of early settlers, u-pick'em fields and coral rock walls dot the landscape. It is named for the red clay that dominates the area, on top of a massive layer of oolite rock. The entire area is nourished with pure water from the Biscayne Aquifer.
Redland originated in anticipation of Henry Flagler's railroad when pioneer homesteaders in the early 1900s developed a way of working the difficult soil, called scarifying or plow-breaking. This revolutionary method of agriculture allowed the land there to develop into the "winter greenery basket of America" and the "garden capital of the world". The center of town was located near Redland Road and Bauer Drive.
The listing for the pool house was completely accurate. A large kitchen / living room and 2 great bedrooms! Nice bathroom. All very clean and cozy! Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, lots of spices provided. Some good condiments left in fridge for our use.
On our arrival Natalie showed us all around the house and grounds. Invited us in to watch TV with them because there is no TV in the pool house or the Airstreams.
Glen and Natalie make a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Unlimited coffee and juice as soon as you sit down for breakfast. All kinds of fresh fruit, some of it grown by them. Freshly made pancakes one day, chocolate chip waffles and waffles with strawberry sauce the other day. They had toast, yogurt, other goodies all over the table. We were offered eggs both days in addition to the
waffles and pancakes. Eggs that were laid by their own chickens on the farm.
Natalie and Glen were excellent hosts, the most helpful, knowledgable and caring people we have come across in a long time! We will be back when we come back this way...the only thing missing was a TV. I did not miss the TV but hubby did. Like I said they had invited us in to share their TV! I sure hope to come back to visit Natalie and Glen again.
We had the BEST time staying at the pool house! Glen and natalie are amazing hosts! They had a celebration party the night we were there and cooked a yummy dinner and the breakfast was SO good!! We loved everything about this place, from the pool to the airstreams to all the organic fresh fruit growing everywhere. The beds were super comfortable, the shower worked perfect. It was everything we were hoping for and more. Definitely be back :)
Quirky and cool B&B. Good hub to the glades, s beach & Biscayne. Host makes a plentiful & genial breakfast!
We really enjoyed our stay at Natalie's pool house.
Initially, when we got there, we were greeted by Natalie's son. He showed us around and we settled in. We didn't actually meet Natalie until the next day.
First the cons: the property, in general, is a bit unkempt though there is a lot to take care of and they can accommodate many visitors at one time. The pool house had areas there were not quite clean upon our arrival (notably the bathroom), though I would say we have pretty high standards of what "clean" means. The sheets on our bed completely pulled off the mattress and we got tangled in them while trying to sleep. We were provided with 3 towels and no washcloths, though we were a party of 5.
Pros: the next day we had an awesome breakfast and great conversation with Natalie. She got right to work to get the sheets changed out, get the bathroom cleaned, and provided ample towels and washcloths. She gave us all sorts of ideas for sightseeing in the area and was a joy to interact with. We also had fun going to the places that were recommended.
The hot tub was great to enjoy after sundown. The pool is not heated, but was all too tempting for my father, who turned 75 while we were there, and our daughter, after they sat in the hot tub. That was pretty funny.
The pool house is very spacious and accommodating. We really liked cooking for ourselves in the kitchenette.
Anyway, it was very enjoyable to stay with Natalie and Glen.
Thank you so much!
Natalie and her husband were very friendly suring the whole stay and very helpful when we leaved (our GPS was down).
It was a very pleasant stay. The poolhouse, the swimming-pool and the jacuzzi were great and very clean. The breakfast was very good with home-made waffles, fruits, ... A lot of different and good things to eat (more than you can eat for breakfast in fact ;-) ).
Natalie and Glenn were great, and made us feel right at home...their son showed us around the property when we arrived. They had 4-5 farm hands/students on the property helping with the organic farming, and also several occupied rented trailers behind their house, so there was always someone very interesting to speak with during our stay. Quite a few international travelers who loved their stay at the property as well. The location was perfect for us, as we wanted close access to the Everglades NP.
The space was terrific - large, with plenty of area for family things, with view of pool right outside floor to ceiling window. Hot tub perfect temp, pool clean and wonderful Natalie so very helpful. She recommended things that made our little vacation. All the other guests are so interesting, many from other countries. Great place to stay to be comfortable, while also on an adventure.

We love to cook. We're learning to live organically and are in the process of growing our own vegetables. We are currently growing mango, avocados, lychee, longan, jack fruit, dragon fruit, loquat, ackee, bananas, jalapeno, cilantro, basil, oregano, thyme, sage, heirloom tomatoes, everglades tomato and numerous other plants . We also try to buy food only 30 miles from our house.
As diverse as we are as people we really just believe in "Down to Earth Living".
We're just trying to have fun with life! So come and join our eclectic family.
