About this listing
Unique antique cottage is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, yet just 2 blocks from Central Square Redline (subway). It is conveniently located between MIT and Harvard (1 subway stop) and just a 2 block walk to many restaurants, clubs, markets and shops on Massachusetts Avenue. A quick 10 minute walk will take you to the river and spectacular views of the Boston Skyline. Cottage was built in 1815 and has a very cozy feel with low ceilings and plenty of light from southerly windows. Stairs leading up to bedroom are quite steep, typical of that time period but not ideal for those with limited mobility. It is fully furnished and has a living room, eat in kitchen, pantry with washer/dryer, full bathroom, bedroom and study area. Cottage is not fancy or luxurious but has new furnishings and can make for a very comfortable visit. It is tucked back from the street in a perennial filled yard shared with the house in front. On-street Parking is available with a visitors pass (provided) and is good for 3 consecutive days. For longer stays, parking is available at the public garage 1/2 block away for $13 night.
Guests have access to the yard which has an outdoor table and chairs, rocking bench and a grill. They also have access to a locked shed on the property where they can store luggage if they need to check out due to another guests arrival but are not leaving town until later that day.
Interaction with guests
I live in Vermont, so sadly I don't have much interaction with the guests. I do have neighbors that are available to help out if anything is needed or not functioning as expected.
No smoking inside.

I am a nutritionist living in Vermont with my family, 2 kids and 1 husband :-)
I used to live in Cambridge but traded city life for the country. I still love going back for visits and staying in the cottage. I also love the water, love to travel and love little dogs!
