Retreat to the tranquil haven of Little Belmont, metres from the water’s edge, in peaceful Lunawanna, South Bruny. Immerse yourself in nature, savouring breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the bay, while you unwind by the firepit enjoying magical sunsets over the D'entrecasteaux Channel. Located on an acre of land amidst a daily spectacle of seabirds, with the tides & sandbanks constantly shifting, Little Belmont provides an ideal setting to unwind, bask in the surroundings and soak it all in.
The space
Overview:
The incredible views and proximity to the water make Little Belmont a unique and special place. The cottage is of its era with a classic retro fit out. The furniture is new, modern and comfy, however expect a simple retro feel. The wonderful wood burner is amazing at heating the space, making it feel cosy, with back-up oil heaters if required.
Living space:
The living room opens onto the timber deck where there is a gas BBQ. The living room, kitchen and deck all have incredible, uninterrupted views over Daniel's Bay.
Fire pit:
There is a fantastic fire pit directly in front of the cottage, looking out over the bay - firewood is supplied.
WiFi:
Fast Starlink internet allows for effective remote working and connection. The new Smart TV allows you to stream your favourite shows, and there is a Bluetooth speaker to play music.
Bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1 has a luxurious king sized bed.
- Bedroom 2 has a new bunk with a comfy double on the bottom and single bed on top.
All beds come with two premium pillow options and thick winter quilts. The mattresses are all extremely comfy, ensuring a blissful night's sleep.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is basic but the shower has very good water pressure.
Outside:
The cottage sits on an acre of land just over the road from the beach of Daniel's Bay. The back view is of farmland and mountains. It has a small creek on its edges. We enjoy frequent furry visitors including white wallabies, birds and echidnas to name just a few which does result in some animal scat around the property.
Please note, the property is on the road to the lighthouse which, during busy periods, does mean there are cars passing by.
Guest access
Access to the property is via a coded padlock on the front gate and a key lockbox at the front door. The property sits on an acre of land overlooking Daniel's Bay. As a guest, you have access to the whole property.
Other things to note
Note there is a shallow creek on the northern boundary, so be mindful of this if bringing small children as it is not fenced.
