Heart of gold Marion. A bliss retreat in the heart of Sonoma - Marion has a delightful home and is a superb host. The guest bed is the most comfortable I have experienced across airbnb with all necessary amenities at hand. Marion is a wonderful cook and prepared a delicious breakfast, having the consideration beforehand to ask me what I liked. In the morning I was welcomed by a pot of earl gray tea and large bowl of fresh fruit. We chatted while she cooked up an omelette with tasty greens - just like I'd ordered it off a menu. She is a worldly woman who has an active life in Sonoma with great knowledge to share.
Marion's room, her whole house, and Marion herself were all a true delight. Filled with interesting vases, plates, and souvenirs from all over the world, the house was very cozy and inviting; the bed was very comfortable and everything was great. But best of all was the hostess herself. She really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home, from giving us ice cold bottled water with lemon to cooking us delicious breakfasts (French toast with fresh fruit, an omelet with mushrooms and kale) served on beautiful plates and linen napkins, to offering us a glass of wine and her hot tub. Marion was genuinely caring and was really interesting to talk to because of her interesting life experiences and her travel. Be sure to book a reflexology massage with her -- she was really fantastic, and you're really going to feel relaxed. Also, the house is perfectly situated for those interested in going to Jack London State Park. I really enjoyed getting to know her and staying in her lovely home, and will recommend staying with her to anyone. It will be a warm and wonderful experience!
We really enjoyed our stay at Marion's house. She is very friendly and the room was clean and pleasant. She made a great breakfast for us as well. I highly recommend her to other potential guests.
Marion was a lovely hostess! You'll feel like you're staying with an aunt or a long-time family friend. Her home is comfortable. The bed in the guest room is great! You'll have your own full bath, as well. Let me tell you though, the best feature at this Sonoma Valley retreat is Marion's breakfast! She is a fantastic chef & my gal-friend and I dined like we were at a 5-star restaurant. Salmon, caper, creme fraiche omelets! Thick, lucious hand-dipped fresh-bread french toast with strawberry compote! Homemade apple sauce & jam! You're a very short drive to the square in downtown Sonoma and near all Sonoma wineries. She also shares great restaurant and shopping recommendations. STAY HERE & be sweet to Ms. Marion.
We had a quick trip to Sonoma and had a great experience at Marion's. The location is a very short drive to downtown Sonoma making it easy to get around. Also her place is fantastic and her breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend it.
Marion was a great host! We were there for a quick trip to Sonoma and she was able to give us great recommendations on fun things to do in town. Her home was very clean and everything we needed was available. Her breakfast was AMAZING!!! Definitely recommend her place!
Lovely room and the location is great. Close to downtown Sonoma (driving) but there are other restaurants you could walk to near the house. I stayed here because I had a wedding and needed a place to stay for one night.
Marion's place is amazing. Great hot tub in the back, beautiful garden with all different types of fruits and veggies, clean bedroom and bath. She even laid out a 2nd mattress in her living room, super accommodating. Fantastic location within walking distance to restaurants and short trip to all the vineyards!
On top of that you get an amazing breakfast cooked by her. It's like staying at a five star resort. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
