  • We had the most amazing time in Marcia and Mark's yurt under the stars. It was EXACTLY as pictured! The location was ideal...every time we wanted to figure out where something was located, it turned out it was literally "right outside the door and up/down/over a block. We were only there for less than 24 hours but it felt like a real getaway. We took advantage of the Farmer's Market down the street, hiking trails up the street and all the shopping and dining one could handle. We never had to use our car since everything was within easy walking distance. We have already recommended it to others and will definitely stay there the next time we go to Ojai. We can't believe such a gem of a place is within a few hours drive.

  • What a beautiful time we had at Marcia and Mark's grand get-away. A private entrance to the backyard and your living quarters (the magical Yurt) leaves you in awe of the ingenuity of the hosts! An outdoor shower for rinsing off the heat and an outdoor tub to soak in the relaxing energy of the Ojai nights.

There is an air conditioner (though we did not use it).

Marcia and Mark were wonderfully kind and gave us directions to local attractions--though let us alone after we checked in. Plenty of privacy (if you'd like it!).

    A magical little get-away.

  • We went our wedding anniversary, and could not have found a better place! Our hosts were very warm and friendly, and yet respected our privacy. The yurt is a magical place, and indeed, you can see the stars! The location is perfect, we walked to downtown Ojai, and enjoyed some good food. We would highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway in Ojai.

  • What a unique and wonderful experience. We were attending a wedding in Ojai and wanted to make it a special weekend. The yurt is comfortable and private, and the hosts were communicative and provided everything we needed. We will stay here again next time we vacation in Ojai.

  • I stayed at Marcia and Mark's Yurt this past weekend and it was fantastic! A true bohemian paradise :)
The outdoor shower was the best! And the bed was heavenly.
Oh, and a perfect location right off the arcade- walk to get an ice cream, a glass of wine, or go antiquing.
I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and the hot tub.

    Crows are gone!
Not sure why they came or why they left.
    But I am happy.

  • The yurt was charming, colorful and very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit in the summer evening, and relaxed in the hot tub under the full moon. The outdoor shower and bathtub were also lovely. Marcia and Mark succeeded in creating a very serene and sensual space here! They were also very responsive with the reservations, and excellent hosts. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  • We stayed in the yurt for a wedding and it was fantastic- super location. The outdoor shower was wonderful and the bed was sooooo comfy! I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a magical Ojai retreat.

  • Marcia was very hospitable and provided a stay that surprisingly had so many amenities packed into such a cozy, magical yurt. This place exceeding my expectations, which included access to an AC, mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, plates and silverware, and a sink. The outdoor shower was a perfect way to start the day, and the outdoor tub was the perfect way to end the day, just before plopping into the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. It was like laying on a slice of cheesecake atop a cloud. Very relaxing! Be sure to schedule some extra time into your plans as leaving this bed will be the toughest part of your trip. The yurt is also extremely conveniently located right by the heart of town, close to shops and the Saturday farmer's market, all within walking distance.

p.s. There's a cat that slumbers on the chairs by the outdoor firepit and he's the coolest cat I've ever pet. His tongue is extra scratchy.

  • Mark and Marcia's yurt is lovely. Absolutely the perfect getaway. It is close to downtown which makes getting around easy, and the yurt has its own wonderful private yard with an outdoor shower, fire pit, and bathtub. One night was not long enough to take advantage of all their like oasis has to offer!
