Welcome to Patti's Place !
This apartment is located in the historic and scenic neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, b.k.a Bed-Stuy, only an approximate 20 minute cab ride from both airports. Just a short walk away are the J, A and C trains which will take you into lower Manhattan in less than 20 minutes. This means Little Italy, Chinatown, and the Financial District are only a quick train ride away. Nearby you can find many eateries including Saraghina, where excellent wood-fired Neapolitan pies are a real steal. Finally, the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Children's Museum and many more hip places to enjoy are just a short drive.
As you enter this lovely apartment you will notice high ceilings and rustic exposed brick, which continue throughout. Turn right and you will be greeted by a living room featuring the perfect combination of vintage and modern decor. The open floor plan leads you to a beautiful kitchen including high end appliances and a breakfast bar. Down the hallway are two bathrooms for your convenience. The first has a private WC separate from the shower, which features a large shower head and body sprays. The second is a full bath with a spacious tub and beautiful modern fixtures.
Your bedroom, should you choose it, is modern and comfortable with lots of natural light. The exposed brick and high ceilings are featured in here as well. This room is equipped with a queen sized bed, night stand, closet, and dresser. For your convenience there will be maps and WiFi information noted.
You can also enjoy the rooftop access which gives you a lovely view of Manhattan!
I would love to meet you and hope you choose my home for your adventures in NYC !

Nice and clean Space .
Once arrived you have to walk 10min from the subway until the flat .
Pretty easy to find .
Nobody was there when I arrive but Patti gave me good directions .
My stay was perfect. Cleanliness is the highest priority and Patti's place was immaculate. Very modern and the room is very private. There are two beautiful bathrooms available so you never have to wait. Patti is super nice and we had great conversations. The apartment is conveniently located and the neighborhood is quiet. I felt like home due to the amazing host:)
Patti's place is about a 10-15 minute walk from both Utica Ave and Halsey St. stations - it's gorgeous, impeccably clean, two washrooms available with a wonderful shower. For me, this area of Bed-Stuy came across as a very nice, quiet residential neighbourhood despite the occasional remnant bars on windows.
As I would recommend anyone else to do in NYC, I spent most of my time out on the city so I didn't get to see Patti very much, but she was very pleasant when I interacted with her when arriving and leaving.
We had a great stay at Patti's place!
The room and the whole apartment was clean and we felt very comfortable and safe.
The shower is just amazing and was a highlight! We spend New Year's Eve on the roof top and the view was amazing!
The heat system is a little bit loud but this isn't big of a deal. The room fits easily two persons and suitcases.
You can easily reach the apartment from JFK (blue line) and you can use 2 subways to get to Manhattan. It takes you about 20 (downtown) to 40 min (uptown), depending where you wanna go. The neighbourhood is save and you can reach the subway within 10 min of walking.
We could even change the check out time to spend more time in the city which was great and we really appreciate this!
We would always stay again at Patti's place and can highly recommend it!
One more thing which has nothing to do with Patti or the apartment:
Unfortunately some other guests made often a big mess in the bathroom. It shouldn't be a problem to leave the room as clean as you found it, especially the bathroom!!!! Patti cleaned it every time but it is a shame that people act like this.
Patti is a great host. We didn't spend much time at the apartment but it was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely consider staying here again when I visit NYC.
Patti was very welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. Her place is very nice and clean. There's a bus stop a couple of blocks away and a couple different subway stations a short walk from the house.
Excepted from the fact that I got ripped off by the taxi from JFK to Patti´s place. I liked staying at Patti´s place! The neighborhood is a bit ruff for the untrained eye and there is not so many restaurangs near by. But just a bus ride away you have everything you need. And I started to like the neighborhood after two days. But I´m always scared when I go to new places so don´t listen to me. People are really friendly and talkative around Bed-sty!
The apartment is really nice and never aline to the bathroom. A well functioning kitchen and a nice bed. The only thing was that the floor in the room could have been more clean. but again I´m being very picky! Patti was so nice and stayed up to let me in the first night even thou my flight was 3 hours late. DON`T TAKE A BLACK TAXI CAB FROM JFK. I won´t tell you how much a got to pay for that ride but it was three digits!!! The most expensive taxi ride in my life!!!
Patti was a cheerful and friendly host. Conditions in her room were great.
I really recommend to choose Patti's accomodation!
Staying at Patti's was our first Airbnb venture and we absolutely loved our experience--she set the bar high for our future Airbnb stays. First off, Patti has an absolutely beautiful, spacious home. We felt lucky to stay in such a gorgeous, thoughtfully-designed space for an entire month--Patti takes pride in her home. It was a fantastic way to begin our new lives in Brooklyn. Patti is studying to be an interior designer so guests benefit from her talent and expertise in making a house a home with its own unique style. Plus, her bathrooms are huge, super modern and just plain awesome. Her bathtub/shower ruined us for all future NYC bathrooms!
Patti is a kind, generous and thoughtful person, making sure we felt at home, doing those little, special things, like setting out a lovely coffee/tea tray in the kitchen, placing umbrellas by the front door and engaging us in great conversation after a long day (making us feel like family, which is important to us because we're Cuban and Italian). We felt completely comfortable with her and enjoyed her company.
Her apartment is in a fantastic neighborhood: folks are super friendly, good music is always playing and our walk to the subway was a sweet daily ritual because of Fulton Park and historic Stuyvesant Avenue, an inspiring way to start the day. The best coffee we've ever had is sold at a deli a few blocks from her place (for $1!) and the local laundry mat is a vibrant, fun place, with great music and conversation while you wait for your laundry. And it's easy to get from her subway station to other Brooklyn neighborhoods and to Manhattan.
We now are moved into our own place and although happy, miss our time at Patti's and her neighborhood. We will always remember our month there. Thank you, Paitti, for making our first month in NYC so magical! Much love and joy to you!
