  • We had a last minute international flight cancellation out of Atlanta and Tim's house came to the rescue. Tim provided us with a comfortable bed, there were other friendly people staying at the house and it was very close to the airport. I would agree with others who have said that the area does not feel very especially safe. Our Lyft driver was so concerned when he dropped us off, that he gave us his personal cell number and said to call him if we wanted to change locations or if we didn't want to stay in that area. In the end, we did not have any problems and found it really easy to run a few last minute errands while we waited for our flight the following evening. Tim was very accommodating and let us keep our bags there all day until we flew out at 5:00. The house that we stayed in had a very hostel-like feel to it. People continued to pop out of different rooms throughout the evening but everyone was lovely and it was fun meeting people from Australia, India and Los Angeles. While we did not meet Tim in person, he was very responsive when we messaged him.

  • house was very nice, would definitely recommend staying here. only real negative is that the neighborhood doesn't feel very safe, but we didn't run into any issues while staying there. overall, it was really great for the price and i would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • Tim was a great host ... The room was clean and comfortable ... Just as advertised
Location was ideal 10 minutes from uptown.
I would recommend Tim to anyone

  • staying at Tim's house was a very nice experience for my boyfriend and me. we got a large private room in the beautiful house. the other rooms were occupied by different young people doing internships or travelling, which made for a fun crowd and great late night conversations next to the campfire. all in all we had a great stay at tim's and can definitely recommend the place and garden to anyone. just be aware that it might not always be super quiet at night and the place sometimes gets quite dirty as cleaning is mostly up to people staying there.
one thing that annoyed us first but thankfully got resolved very fast is that the place got overbooked while we stayed there and Tim had us move to another place. however, the new place turned out to be great too, perfectly maintained and spotless blank clean.

  • The house was great. So cute and the location was good. I loved all of the amenitites Tim made available to us. It was like staying at a friend's house. Definitely would stay again.

  • The communication with Tim was very smooth. I've got fast responses to my questions and the location was easy to find. Like others already noticed it is not the nicest neighborhood, but I didn't had any problems. The room was clean and big.
As it is a shared accommodation don't expect it to be the cleanest place, but this is a matter of other people, not Tim. The room was clean though. When I left, Tim was there to check the house.
If you like to meet interesting people and want a budget accommodation, I can recommend it.

  • We were very happy with the way this place worked out for us. We were in Atlanta for a brief stay. The house was in a convenient location with easy access to public transportation and available parking. The room itself was cozy and furnished with character. The house overall was comfortable and clean.

There was an interesting mix of people staying in the hostel. Some had been there only a few days, while others had been there three months or more. Some were American, while others were world travelers.

The house was located in a neighborhood that was somewhat lower income than we expected. I would suggest trying to make your first arrival to this house during daylight hours. Although the house itself feels secure, we had some "interesting" experiences riding the route 95 bus at night. The 95 bus takes you from the West End subway stop to the hostel location. I'm told that the area is "in recovery" so things should improve in time.

  • Tim was great and kind host, my room was absolutely perfect! Also one of the person who takes care of the house, Ari, has been very gentle and kind to help me during my permanence in Atlanta!

  • I had a pleasant enough experience. The house is located in a convenient location to midtown Atlanta in a part of town that seems to be in the process of being revitalized... best way I can put it. I did not get to meet Tim, the owner, but we communicated via text and everything went smoothly. I was a little concerned about the security of my car, given the aspect of the area, but nothing happened. I suspect the area is much safer than it looks. I would consider renting again if I was in town.

I am a very relaxed and easygoing and open minded guy looking to host people and make new friends around the world. I have always wanted to work in the hospitality industry since I was a kid it was a dream of mine to own my own bed and Breakfast. I lived in my home on Tift Ave for almost eleven years. I have hosted many friends and travelers from around the world in my historic home. Now that I found out about Air BNB, I am opening my home to you. I now have four properties close to downtown Atlanta two in historic Capital View neighborhood and two in Historic Adair Park neighborhood. they are both very close to downtown and walking distance from the marta train station and bus stops so Its very easy to get around the city without the need for a car. Several of the homes also can be booked entirely for larger groups.I also have many hostel spaces available great for travelers on a budget. I love to share travel stories drink good wine and eat good food. I like almost anything as far as food goes and red and white white alike as well (email hidden). I really don't have any major rules just be a polite guest as I will be a great host and even show you around if you need me to. I also love the outdoors and know some great places to hike in Atlanta. I also love to cook, drink wine or beers and eat good food and have a Nice large kitchen for you to make yourself at home in as well as each house has a great private backyard and fire pit and large front porches, The house I live at on Tift Ave has a hot tub that's great for skinny dipping and also has 3 cats and a small dog you will love. My other properties do not have any animals unless a guest happens to have one.
