Welcome to The Bothy, a meticulously renovated Adirondack cabin designed to be the ultimate couple’s romantic get-away, or basecamp for the discerning single. The Bothy’s open-plan aesthetic is ‘rustic/modern’ combining luxury amenities and appliances with traditional textures and finishes. Rear full-width sliding glass doors reveal a private deck with a unique small outdoor wood fireplace. A custom design daybed, framed by a 60x60 picture window, and a mini wood stove bring warmth and comfort.

The space
Apart from the refurbished antique sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, everything is brand new, from the Smeg toaster and kettle, to the two burner Italian cook-top, the Casper Queen memory-foam bed and luxury Belgian linen sheets, to the totally remodeled and extended bathroom with its radiant floor heating and expansive shower.
The Bothy has its own Pro+Aqua Elite 3 stage water filtration and Bosch Therm series tankless instant hot water systems, so you’ll be drinking the cleanest, purest cool water and you will never run out of hot.

Guest access
Guests are invited to roam wherever they care to on the full 140 acres of the property. On summer days laze in the hammock or sway on the swing under the Northern white Cedar tree, BBQ or picnic in the garden or relax in the evening with a drink around the fire pit and count the shooting stars in the brilliant northern sky.

Other things to note
Oh, and you can bring your dearest friend along too: the Bothy is pet friendly. If leaving your pet unattended we would ask you to leave it in a crate (we can provide one).
We will happily cat or dog sit while you're away enjoying adventures.

Neighborhood highlights

The property is in a Valley at the heart of the Adirondacks. 12 minutes to Keene Valley, 12 minutes the other way to Elizabeth Town. 40 minutes to Lake Placid. A 5 minute walk to the beautiful Split Rock falls and a short drive to swimming in summer or ice climbing in winter at either Chapel Pond or Lincoln Pond. We can't see our closest neighbor and the 140 acre property adjoins State forest on 3 sides. The tiny hamlet of New Russia has no shops and a Post Office with minimal opening hours.
