Check In
  • My partner and I stayed at the Aussie Milk Bar for two nights. This was the third time we had used Air BnB, but the first time in Australia. We hopped out of the taxi and were immediately taken with the native trees planted out the front of the house and the peaceful neighbourhood. The accommodation was very comfortable and cosy (felt at home straight away), the location was convenient (we managed to squeeze in a few activities in one day thanks to being close to the train station/s), and the hosts - Darren & Bruce - were very welcoming and just really lovely people. They provided us with all the information we needed re: travel and the local neighbourhoods. We look forward to staying again on our next visit to Melbourne! 5+ stars

  • First stay at the Milk Bar and it certainly won't be the last. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The restaurant recommended by Darren for dinner was a hidden gem and a superb meal. Had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Definitely my new 'home away from home'. Thanks.

  • My parents came from overseas and stayed at the Aussie Milk Bar for nearly three month and had an amazing time! The accommodation is very well decorated, spacious, very clean and they felt like home. The train station is walking distance from there (5 minutes, direct to the city center) and there are plenty of lovely cafes and little shops nearby. The owners are very helpful and so friendly (but also respected their privacy), a great place to stay and an amazing neighborhood, couldn't ask for more. Would highly recommend!!!

  • The location is great and we had a lovely quiet night. Darren was away but Bruce was a very kind host, helping us with finding a place to eat that we had only half heard about.

  • My husband and I found the 'Milkbar' one of our best accommodation stays in Melbourne. Perfect for our needs, warm, comfortable and close to the station making our journey to family and friends a breeze. Many thanks to Bruce, who was the perfect host. We will definitely stay again. • Darren and Bruce were great hosts and The Aussi Milk Bar is the perfect spot if you want to get some privacy. We've been there for 6 days and it was perfect for a first experience with Airbnb. We really enjoyed being outside of downtown (CBD is easily accessible by train) and being with locals. Don't forget to visit Yarraville (next train station or 15 minutes walk), we really loved the vibe of this neighbourhood!

  • The "MilkBar", great accommodation when you are looking for something more!.
The Hosts could not have been more helpful with directions and finding the best local restaurants...
Ask them to take you to their favourite breakfast spot.
The room was clean and very comfortable. (All the amenities you would need for a stay)
I do recommend to anyone for one night or longer stays.

  • My boyfriend and I rented the milk bar for a week in November, the flat is fantastic and Darren & Bruce made us feel extremely welcome. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are ever in Melbourne!
